We have stayed at his campground 3 now times In mutli different areas and have loved it. This last time was a different story. When we arrived the camp hosts had not posted reservations for campgrounds in weeks (signs were from weeks past)! We called the number at the front due to having 2 different groups in our reserved campgrounds. We were given the run around on who we actually needed to call. Was given a courprit number which was an automated message with no help. Finally was given a phone number for the camp hosts, we called them mutli times and they never even picked up. Eventually we had to talk to both groups of campers who were nice enough to move there entire camp. I felt very bad kicking people out who had already paid the first come first serve fee. We eventually saw a host come and empty the pay station but they never came into the camp ground to check up on anything. The firepits were full to the brim with ash and beer cans obviously not being taken care of. It's a real bummer to see a really good Campground not being taken care of. It is a beautiful spot with lots of shade but I'd only recommend it to people who are willing to deal with the lack of organization and cleanliness. Happy Camping!

My family and I had a great time at this campground. Plenty of evening shade, though if we had stayed another night, we would have had to put up the canopy for midday shade. The fire pit was perfect to keep a nice fire going and to cook with. The only downside to our plot was there wasn't much of a cleared flat spot to pitch our tents. We made do, but a bit more room for that would have been more ideal. Bugs were almost non-existent in the evening, though they did get a little thicker in the morning as we packed up. Still, this camping trip exceeded our expectations.

We've stayed here several times in 3 different spots. Always plenty of shade and privacy. Comfortable campsites. the potholes on the road in are quite large, but passable with careful driving. We didn't personally use the toilet facilities, but heard from others with us that they were "not bad for an outhouse". We had spotty mobile service, but for better service you can just drive east to the next pullout and we had great reception there.

This is a very nice quiet, shaded campground.

Cows cows and more cows all accompanied by cowboys on horseback wandering through all of the campsites. Additionally, the bathrooms are a mess.

Really nice campsite! Really close to the lake. Only negative is the water is turned off. But wasn’t a big deal for us.

Beautiful little campsite, a little close to the road (lower sites may be better for noise), but the little Skull Creek was perfect for my 9 year old an 4 year olds to play in and enjoy. Also had a wonderful XC MTB ride on the trial accessed from the campsite, saw lots of hikers and beautiful views of Flaming Gorge.

The snow during the evening put a damper on our hiking plans for the next day. Very fun and beautiful spot.

We enjoyed our visit. Reservations were clearly marked on our campsites. Area was clean. It’s close to the dam. Bathrooms were adequate. They are small and older. I’d like to see hand sanitizer like I’ve seen at other campsites. My biggest complaint is no water.

Well maintained camp ground. It was a little warm during the day but cooled off at night nicely. One morning a herd of cows walked through our camp which was interesting to wake up to. :-)

The Campground was the most poorly maintained campground my wife and I have ever stayed. We drove all the way to Skull Creek from Loveland Colorado. Had we had extra time, that night, to find a more suitable location, we would have left and not returned. Campground had cattle roaming around with lots of cattle droppings. The road around the site was poor at best. Camp sites were in extremely poor condition and were dangerous due to insufficient maintenance. The National Park recreation System should take this campground off the internet site and declare it a hazardous campground and NEVER charge a fee for the use of the grounds.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
