The canyon and scenery are beautiful here. I love the tranquil setting and peace and quiet. My only complaint was that there were other inconsiderate campers that had loud music playing all night one night, or were arguing loudly the next day.There was no Camp Host onsite, which was ok but they could have handled the late loud music for everyone else.There were cows in the campsite when we arrived, and this is not a problem for us. My daughter was thrilled about the cows. They run away from people and keep their distance. We did hear them mooing loudly in the morning and evening. That is not a problem for us.I think this campsite has the nicest outhouses of the 3 up this canyon. Very clean and seems new. I love this area and will be back again.

Made a reservation for the Hades campground over a weekend in advance. When we arrived to the campsite (reserved in our name) someone else had claimed the campsite. They were not willing to leave the campsite after we asked and showed our receipt. We were unable to stay at the campsite we had made the reservation for. This was extremely frustrating as we arrived later in the evening and had to find another option in the dark. Do not recommend using this reservation system. Avoid at all costs as there are no camp hosts within this campground that are monitoring the campsites.

A nice campground on a pretty stretch of river. No drinking water available, but one can plan ahead for that. The site map online is not correct, so the site we reserved was way across the campground from where we thought it would be. The map showed #04 on the stream, but it was across the road and back 100 yds. or so back along the road. Two nice sites on the river had big rigs parked and registration stubs showing, but nobody was in them for the two days we camped. We had good fishing downstream--an easy walk--but too much wading, splashing, and floading in the campground itself to fish much there. Clean toilets, thanks!

Nice campground mid week but generators and ATV’s common on weekends. With no camp host available, there is no recourse dealing with rules violations and obnoxious groups.

This is not the fault of the campground, which I'd give four stars for the facility, five if they had water. However it seems that Defa's Dude Ranch, which is next door, hosts extremely loud and rowdy parties on Memorial Day weekend, and perhaps other holiday weekends. We were literally subjected to an all night party in the field next to the campground. All. Night. It broke up after dawn. We camped at Hades during the Pandemic, on weekdays, and it was peaceful and lovely, so probably stay away during holiday weekends and you'll be fine.

Don't forget there is no running water. Bathrooms are clean and plenty of TP. Our site was large and away from other sites.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
