The bathrooms were disgusting. They kept sending the young boy to bring toilet paper and clean the bathrooms. We actually had all the campsites in the cove. We ended up, leaving a day early and they would not refund the money, but the experience was bad.

The campground was good and the bathrooms were clean. The only problem I had was the fish cleaning station, it was horrible. It did not look like the table tops or the stainless steel sink had been cleaned since the previous campground attendant had been there. There were spiders everywhere, the counters were filthy and the sink had mold growing in it. Very disappointed.

I try to fish Nimrod every spring but the Corp of Engineers always screw the experience every year! This time by lowering the water to fix buoys. Spring time is the best time to fish. Looks like buoys could be repaired in the off season!

We have been coming to Sunlight Bay for several years now (6 RVs). This year we were not impressed, the bathrooms and showers were so nasty the women wouldn't even use them, plus the grass needed mowed! There were several maintenence issues including a rusted cover on an in ground refuse tank which fell through when one of our children stepped on it. This was VERY close to disastrous. We sincerely hope the Rangers get a grip on things here.

Hot showers. Friendly campground host. Sites all equipped with tables and electrical outlets. Cool lights and music coming from the cemetery at night, but don't join their party.

The location is great, however the campsite or the bathhouse had been cleaned. Aluminum cans and trash in the fire ring. The bathhouse was dirty and only hosed down once in the 12 days that we were there. Hair in the drains, dead bugs in the sinks and dirt on the floors. We were there for the eclipse and the camp host made little attempt to clean. We even had to ask for toilet paper and to have the lights turned on. We will not go back.

Its a nice campground. Not a good part of the lake to swim. We had fire ants but the camp host was helpful in helping with the problem. Nice fishing spot with boat ramp.

We loved the area. It was perfect for my husband to kayak. However; we would not choose site #16 again. We choose the site because it had a covered picnic table (which was reallly nice and we enjoyed using it). But the site itself was too crowded. You couldn't have a fire because the firepit was too close to your camper. We will visit again but at a different site.

Really nice camping. Fishing was excellent. Park keeper is about the nicest guy you want to meet, always there to help if you need him. Sites are good and all are 50amp. Nice place to go and rest or fish a couple weeks

April 25,2023 site #2 Sunlight Bay This site is difficult to back into. As I was backing into the site there is an oak tree that is too close to the driveway up to the parking pad. A limb had been previously cut that caught our camper and tore a hole in the top side. As I was trying to get out of that the same limb broke the slide awning loose and had to be removed before we could get home. Continuing to back into the site, before I could get to the back of the parking pad there is a pine tree that is too close. I hit it with the towing equipment before my tires got to the curb ( a good 4 ft). So to say the least it wasn’t a pleasant experience. I would like to suggest that someone at least take a look at the trees at this site before someone else’s camper gets damaged. And possibly have them cut. We love camping at Sunlight Bay and will camp there again BUT not on Site #2!

So sad that water was up, but good fishing for us. Enjoyed the 3 nights. Looking forward to next year.

Everything was really nice. (except fishing a little slow for me). This is a nice, quite, well kept park. I hope i am still getting around as good as the park manager. he's in his 80's and he keeps up with all that goes on. Super nice guy.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
