Beautiful campground. We were in the shade all day. Site 11.

Camp hosts were very friendly and done a great job of taking care of the bathrooms. COE and Perry County Deputies patrolled regularly and did a great job checking on the park. It was very quiet and relaxing here with a family oriented atmosphere. Thanks again to everyone for making our trip very enjoyable!

Campground had hot showers. Never found any staff or host to check in; no problems. Weak Verizon cell internet service from campsite, but strong service from the hilltop. Bathroom moderately clean. Quiet at night. Some annoying and unnecessary light pollution from campground lamps.

This campground was beautiful, clean, and secluded. The campsites were a great size and well appointed with electric and water hook ups. There was a dump station at the entrance of the campground which was very convenient. My only complaint was the poor cell phone coverage!

Water spickets are shared between sites, our spicket was far enough away we had to connect 3 hoses to get water to our camper. Thankfully we had them on hand. Showers were usually warm but there were a couple times where there was no warm water, although the floors were dry as if no one had recently taken showers. I understand they were having water heater problems at the time though. Those are my only small complaints. We did enjoy the size of the campground..it isnt huge so we could let our kids (12,10) venture without too much hesitation. Hosts were very friendly and it gave a family like vibe. There is a okay swimming area with a sand bottom, only 1 bench/table like structure. I wish there were a couple more. Would camp here again.

Site and park were very clean, new underground water hook ups appeared to be replaced recently. the back in pad was very large perfect for a 30Ft RV and with plenty of room to park a pickup truck in front without blocking the road. We stayed there a week and only saw maybe 4 or 4 others camping. The water and electrical hook-up are installed on the wrong side of RV hook ups so make sure you travel with extra hoses. I didn't bring any firewood because of camp cautions about brining pest into the forest, site managers didn't have any but did recommend a man down the rood. The camp has showers that are on 1 minute timers so the water kept shutting off and when turned on it was cool water, lots of pressure coming out of head which stung when it hit you. No hiking trails, if you want to go hiking you'll need to drive 30 miles on either direction. No laundry facilities.

Beautiful camground. Not much level ground for tent camping. Sites are well spaced, and the we had a quiet night.

The water in the showers was very hot. It would be nice if you could control the temperature because while some may like hot showers, some may like cooler showers.

One of the breakers blew in the electric pole of the family camp spot and the grass was very tall between the two paved drives. We alerted the park manage and they came out immediately with weekeater and new breaker to fix everything. Also all the park rangers were extremely nice that we spoke with. The only downside was phone service. If you need to conduct business (which I did during the 4 days we were there, I would have to drive the top of the hill in the camp area to get 1 signal bar but it was enough to use Internet. Other wise it was great but I will have to say I will look for a park with phone signal next time for that reason only.

We stayed five days on the third day the camp lost water and we got some water before we left on the fifth day, so no showers or anything. I did learn to fill my freshwater tank when I get to my campsite it was beautiful. Everybody was nice and pleasant Campsites are a little close together and when they say you need experience to back in the campsite, I was in number 29 they were not lying but first you have to find it if you’ve never been there before it might take a minute with someone tells you where it is All in all good trip .

Great time as always. Park attendants were great! Very nice and clean facilities. Nearby golf courses for golfers. Just an all around great time.

Our experience was good but not having WiFi service is not good when you have kids the park needs to install public WiFi for campers when camping. And the bathroom showers run out of hot water too quick. But other than that it’s a great camping area. We will be back and hopefully have WiFi.

Water was very high, with little information about alternative launch sites. No internet signal, and very poor to no cell service... No water hose connector/ spigot/ attachment at dump station for in-tank rinse sprayer... Bathrooms/ Showers need updating and repair... some cleaning wouldn't hurt either... Big Storms came through and high winds with lighting,,, bit concerning as there are many big pines and other trees... BUT... I like the area and the lake and I will be back... may try another camping area,,, but from what I've seen this is about par for the course here...

We have been staying regularly at Quarry Cove since the early 70s. The park and attendants have always been pleasant and mindful of our needs. The slower ,more relaxed type of camping suits us old timers just fine. If you want thrill a minute entertainment this probably isn't the place for you. If on the other hand you are inclined to like fishing, visiting with neighbors and a quiet place to relax this is a hidden gem. My only complaint is that the CORPS. sees fit to close it every winter from December to March. They do have a few sites at River Road and Carter Cove that remain open but to us they are lesser sites. If you want to camp from March to December then this is a good bet, providing the CORPS, and various contractors can get their work done and not cancel your reservation a week or two before you are set to arrive as happened to us Last spring. We rate it 8.5 out of 10 but it could easily be a 10 with different CORPS. management. IMO

Great campground. Quiet and clean. Hosts were very nice and personable. Little to no cell reception with AT&T

It's a nice little RV Park with plenty of shade, covered picnic tables and a nice place to fish. But some of the water faucets are more than one hose length from the narrow pads so bring two or fill your tank on the way in and use your water pump.

Quarry cove campsite #13 was awesome! Very close to playground and close to bathrooms/showers. The incline is worse than pictures though. Camper spot was but there weren’t options for a flat tent spot. Other sites looked to be better for tents since they had fatter spots. Overall great campground! We loved nimrod lake. We also had perfect service through Verizon.

We had spot 13, it's a little harder to get into than it looks. Very nice spot once you do get in it. Water and 30 amp electric, fire ring and covered picnic table. We had a little cell phone service, our friends in spot 15 had no service. Close to the playground, grandkids had a ball.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
