Very nice campground. Clean and well kept, tall pines surrounding most of the sites. The campground host at the entrance gate was nice and helpful every time we had a question. (Dump station was a good clean set up too). We will definitely go back.

My husband and I camp here often and at least once a year I have an annual girls trip at this campground. The attendants are lovely and so sweet. Very clean bathrooms and the swim beach. Tons of trails and walking for the dog. Marina has everything you need including a big white shepherd rescue who looks over the ladies working there. Camp sites are easy to back into. The local sheriff usually comes through a few times a day so I always feel very safe here. Walmart is just up the road if you need a new camper mattress like we did amongst half a dozen other things I forget each trip. The sell beer and wine as well. Firewood is just up the road too. The boat launch is very wide so easy to launch in and out at. Over all it is our favorite campground and home base we look to camp multiple times a month.

Choctaw Recreation Area is an excellent facility that is well maintained. It is one of my favorite parks and I hope to return for many more camping trips.

Great place to camp. Big sites and beautiful area. We love seeing the geese and deer. Nice showers and restrooms. Our favorite campground in Arkansas!

We have camped at Choctaw two times this summer and both times, June and July, the grass had not been cut and was very unkept. Grass and weeds were very high around the campsites and dumpstation

Most of the time (Monday thu Thursday) the shower facilities were clean. on the weekends they were not. All of the Campsites should all be concreted and have clean water and sewer disposal at each site. Been camping there twice a year for the last ten years and campsite in the D section needs some serious maintenance but COE doesn't care.

We were here for an overnight only. It is a beautiful place and easy to get to from 65. We stayed on a Monday night in April, so the park was very quiet and peaceful. The lady at the gate was very helpful. When she saw our rig, she suggested we unhook our toad and go look at our site, B14, before taking our 34' motorhome to the site, to make sure we were comfortable with backing in there. We loved the site and had no problem getting situated, but we appreciated her advice. B14 is really off by itself, but is near the marina and a group picnic area, so during busier times it may not be so idyllic. It sits on a rocky bluff with a very beautiful view of the lake, marina and sunset. The site is electric only. We were able to level easily when backed up about as far as we could. There is shade and plenty of extra parking for the toad. We would definitely return here, and would plan to stay longer next time.

It was a great experience over all. The trees were beautiful, the distance between campers was good but there was a few close ones. The people at the check in station were fantastic. Over all I would stay there again if I ever get that far east from where I am at now.

Campground was clean and quiet at night. It was a great spot for the 2024 Eclipse. I would book a stay here again.

Nice tables, clean bathroom, hot showers, nice swim beach, clean water. Sites lacked privacy is only negative
@KennethD790357 · Camped on Apr 6, 2024 at Campsite #A2
Facilities are very clean. Even though the campground was nearly full, it was quiet.
@JackieM7333ED1 · Camped on Apr 6, 2024 at Campsite #C30
The restrooms were nice and well-spaced out. The site was well-shaded and even though we shared a driveway with another site, the campground was quiet, in spite of it being the weekend of the eclipse!
@LowellCAE8BBE2 · Camped on Apr 5, 2024 at Campsite #D1
Nlcely maintained campground. Sites were clean with level asphalt pads. Lots of nice trees and widely spaced sites although there is not any privacy foliage. Many sites have nice lake views. Good cell service. Very quiet.

Plenty of space, nice open area in the back. Easy to back in to. Grill sits a little high and is not adjustable. Good T Mobile signal.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
