Gate keeper, Jenny, was very friendly letting us check in early since the spot was vacant. I like the pull through aspect. It feels very private with your awning facing the lake and your back to the road. The chip-n-seal road surface is pretty course. The water is a pretty good distance from where you park. Have at least 75 of hose to reach your RV. The electrical is on the opposite side of the campsite from the water source and I had to use my 30A extension cord. Be prepared. I did really enjoy the stay and the lake is beautiful.

The restroom building in the campground main loop is being rebuilt. Campers have to walk a quarter mile down the hill to the only restroom building in the campground - and it only has 2 men and 2 women toilet/shower rooms. Hence the one star. Otherwise Id have given Oak Grove 4 stars.

The hosts are fantastic at this park. Very, very, good communication. Actually had someone to pick up the phone when I called. Wonderful site. If I had to point anything out, it would be to mention to anyone going to this park to bring extra water hoses and power cable extensions. Some sites have the hook-ups a little farther than your typical sites.

The staff at the gate is excellent and maintains the single restroom very well. We are happy to see a second bath is in process of being built and is desperately needed.

My experience was very good considering. I noticed that the grill on site number 31 was missing and that the fish cleaning station at the boat ramp was not replaced. Some would say that campers bring their own grills but I can assure you that is not the case. They need to replace both the grill and the fish cleaning station. I noticed that they are planning on building a new restroom with showers up near the playground area where camp sites are located. This will be very useful and appreciated.

I took a trip to Mississippi and wanted to sleep soundly. I had to create an account online to reserve and pay for a campsite. I only needed a primitive site with electricity and a water spigot which costs only $18.00. It was spot #34, not clearly marked iwth a numbered post like the spots for RVs so it was difficullt to find in the dark. I had to use the map to find the spot since it was not in line with the other spots. This was confusing as it was on the other side of #38 and did not look like a spot at all!I confirmed the spot with the #34 on the concrete picnic table. I parked my mini-van over the foliage covered ground, a spot seemingly not used much and I did not see any tents anywhere in this campground. I only saw trailers in the sites of long time "campers" that had decorated their areas with Halloween items. Some also had their boats on trailers.Luckily for me my site was very close to the Shower House, so I had a restroom very close by. The restroom was fairly clean but I did not inspect the shower.Oak Grove was a nice secluded area with plenty of trees but close to a main road where you possibly heard a vehicle drive by once in awhile over the evening. I only spent one evening there arriving in the evening and leaving before twilight. The insects did not seem to be plentiful but there were some mosquitoes that I did see.Overall it was a decent campground right by a nice large lake and I could stay there again if I wanted to spend more time there.

I was at site #31 and it has no grill. I had to use the one on site #29, which fortunately had no campers on it. I don't know why there is no grill at this particular site but I am not the only one who finds this to be an issue. With the upcoming eclipse, and such, along with obvious other reasons this issue needs to be resolved. There is no reason for this situation to exist.

Beautiful lake and trees, but the place is deteriorating severely. Showers did not work in the main campground pavement is collapsing at places placeholders at campsites are rotting out, and electricity is iffy

The park was clean and campsite 36 was shady and peaceful. Gate attendants Dennis and Joanie Patterson were very helpful with lengthening our stay. Great place to stay.

As usual, this park is perfect, so peaceful, quiet and relaxing. We make it our stopping point all the time and are never disappointed. The gate staff, Rangers and even the cleaning crew are all welcoming and friendly. If you crave tranquility, this is the place to stay.

Open and quiet campground in a beautiful setting. Vehicles on drives were polite and careful providing peaceful walking areas. It would have been nice to have some walking trails adjoining the campsites.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
