clean as well as the trash pick up is regular. The park host came by and was AWSOME.

Nice quiet place to relax and enjoy the view and watch the geese fly in and land. Only complaint would be how unlevel the site was, had to add 5 inches of blocks to one side to level the camper. Site #48 if you plan to stay here bring plenty of leveling blocks.

All the other campers were considerate and friendly ,campground was clean, it was really hot so the water got a little warm. There were 2 dogs running loose so we had to be super vigilant with our dogs, but overall it was a great camping trip. We will definitely camp there again.

really enjoyed this campground. thought it was really neat to have a swimming area specifically for the campground rather than a public area where we are sharing with lots of others + have to drive to, etc. the grounds were kept nicely. our spot was nice & level. we will be back!

Didnt have a great site. In fact, probably the worst site of the entire camp ground. However, it was a nice stay. Wish the sites were bigger and spaced further apart in places.

We stayed at spot 38, it is situated between the playground and swim beach, closer to the playground. Having all the hookups including waste made it a pleasurable stay. Verizon service was spotty at the site. Overall it's a nice quiet campground!

The campground is beautiful. There is one hiking trail that could use some maintenance.

My sister and I stayed here and really enjoyed our stay. Our view of the lake was beautiful. Bathrooms could have been cleaned more often, there was a smell in them.

It was a nice spot on the lake and well-maintained. We enjoyed our stay. It's a looonnng way to the bathhouse!We noticed that someone had reserved the prime campsite on the point but were ABSENT for several days. I could understand a couple of days, but anything longer is just depriving someone else of the opportunity to enjoy a great spot.

We've been going to Cowhide for years and as always it was great. The flies like to haul us away. I don't remember them ever being this bad.
@CathyM5656797 · Camped on Apr 4, 2024 at Campsite #31
Site 31 had a lovely view and was close to the restroom facilities but all else was terrible. The site is too small to maneuver a pull-behind and leave room for neighbors. We needed to level 6 inches side to side, which was the least amount we could find in the limited site area. We never did achieve level and even this was so far off center that we were too close to the picnic table and fire ring to be able to use them.

We stayed in campsite 21 and it was definitely the best one! Private, beautiful, and right on the water with only 1 neighbor! Sites are a good size with a flat tent/camper area. Bathrooms are just up the hill and have hot showers. The bathrooms are old and the showers are run down. Bring shower shoes/flip flops to use in the shower. Close to crater of diamonds. There is nowhere close by to get ice or firewood. Pick some up in the surrounding towns before you go. We would stay here again.

This is a nice clean camp area. Nice swim hole. Some sites have septic. Will come back again with the kids to swim and make smores.
@GlendaLB8FC1CA · Camped on Nov 15, 2023 at Campsite #32
We were in site 32. It was a little tight but we made it work. The camp host is wonderful and the place wouldn't be the same without him. Be careful about the ants. We've never had them before and we've camped for years. We usually stay here when we get the urge to dig for diamonds at the Crater of Diamonds State Park.
@KathyS2503995 · Camped on Nov 2, 2023 at Campsite #13
The campsite was very clean everything was perfect. Beautiful view of the lake and trees. Quit and peaceful camping experience. We look forward to coming again in the summer to use the swimming beach area.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
