The area and the park are beautiful. I stayed in site 7 in early September on a very fall like, temp wise, four day weekend. I stayed in a tent. My site had the best shade of all the water front site. The park could have used a mowing. The bath room for the loop was not the cleanest (hand soap provided but bugs and loose toilet paper squares on the floor), and was not cleaned while I was there, but it was not disgusting. Loop one does not have a shower, but loop two does. However, it is quite the hike to get there from loop one. The water was down and didnt seem all that clean in the cove that loop one is located in. I was kayaking in the morning in the fog on the lake. Note: Site 6 was level for my neighbors 24 ft RV. To sum up the park is beautiful with some opportunities.

The place was empty on a Friday night during the summer with just a handful of campers registered. The place is pristine, and well run by the hosts, etc. BUT....In today's world, everyone has the need to stay in touch with family or work via cellphones or the internet which can be achieved through a cellphone signal, making a cellphone signal the primary requirement for us. At Jefferson Ridge, which would otherwise get a rating of 5, cellphone service ranged from zero to bare minimum for a minute or two, depending on where you might be standing at the moment or if you were just lucky for a moment. From a safety standpoint, not being able to contact the outside world in case of an emergency or for mere convenience of communication, takes this park off our list of places to stay.With the dollars lost from potential attendees for the simple reason cited, some sort of technology could be easily installed to provide a mini-tower, directional antenna, or such to join the rest of the world.

Loved Jefferson Ridge campground! Nice quiet area, shady campsites! Will be going back!

There is a need for a better playground equipment for children. Also trees need to be planted for shade. Plant trees that can hold up to the water being on them for a few days; cypress, water oak, willows, etc.

Overall, the site was adequate, nearly comparable in size and spacing to state park sites. There was a new concrete pad for the picnic table and fire ring. Very large and nice. Also it had a new gravel pad for a vehicle. The spot for the trailer had rather old broken up asphalt. No trees around this specific site. This site had room for 3 vehicles and was around 38' long. The water for this site was a little far away, roughly 50'. Each of the sites had slightly different attributes, some all of it was paved, others had different areas paved than this one. Generally, the loop had areas going into disrepair. The playground by the lake had a lot of rust that caused parts to be broken. The restroom was always soaking wet with standing water on the floor. I believe they hosed it down every day, but the floor isn't sloped for the water to drain properly, so it always had 1/4" of water in it. Also, the ventilation couldn't handle that much humidity, so it was like walking into a pool with water dripping down the walls. The amenities were some of the worst we have seen. Unless you really like Dierks Lake, I'd suggest going elsewhere. The best site at the loop was site 29.

We stayed up in the ridge. Large sites not too close together. Clean restrooms and showers. Water at each site is a reach with a standard length hose. Be prepared to fill your holding tank or bring a long hose.

We camped on loop 2 close to the lake. Hardly any trees near us. We were told there had been a storm and it wiped out the trees. Our group had three campsites and all 3 needed an extra water hose to be able to reach the water outlet. Other than that it was a great trip!

We love Jefferson ridge. The park is well maintained and we love the lake. Camp host and rangers always stop by and visit, usually bringing gifts for the kids!

Some misunderstanding about water at the campsites. The water faucet was neavly 50 feet away from our site and we luckily had an extra water hose and the person next to us had an extra hose so we were able to hook up for water.The power hookup was next to campsite and the campsite itself was great. The listing needs to address that most sites share a water faucet and it cam be 30-50 feet from the site. The Park ranger was informative and Discussed the location of the ware dump sites.

This is a great place to camp. Very nice concrete camp sites with plenty of room, well maintained. There is a little store with bait, tackle, beer and Ice just down the road. We caught plenty of fish for our fish fry. Going back soon.

Beautiful park, and the campsites and spaced pretty far apart, up on the ridge. If you want lots of sun, stay near the water; down there most of the sites are a bit closer together. I went for 14 days but stayed for about a month. I was there in October 2023 and only had a half-dozen or so campers on the ridge. Several of the campsites, on the ridge, have some Verizon cell service. I had a booster with an outside antenna which helped a good bit.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
