Nice , secluded and lots of shade. Only downside is no phone service (C Spire) in the campground. About a mile down the road, the service was good. Other than that, the people are great, campground is very clean. I would recommend this campground to anyone traveling near or through.

The campground is very nice. The sites are far apart. Tall trees provide decent shade. The men's bathroom was an absolute horror.

Very well kept campground. Not too busy even on Friday night. Nice big level pull through. Would definitely come here again!

Great Park. Easy and cheerful check in. Clean and quiet with spacious sites. Will be back. Only issue was getting our NPS discount online. On check in was told that we could not change our price even though we tried online and could not get it excepted online. Recommend calling for reservations.

nice paved cg with good size LEVEL sites. We camped in the first part of the GC on the levy not much boat traffic but a lot of fishermen towing boats to the dam where there were MANY people fishing. Some level sites in the cg at the end of the park, it was packed earlyv4-24 with boats n class c's n truck campers. People were nice.

Only shower house flooded with sewage and not usable. Campground host was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience. She said she had been waiting all week for someone to come to pump out the sewage. Otherwise, the campsite was functional.

Very nice place to stay, off the beaten path and right on the Arkansas River. The road to the park is full of potholes, so drive slowly!

Cut the tree tops that have broken and are hanging ( everywhere throughout the campground) before someone gets hurt or killed! This storm damage happened months ago, and still has not been fully cleaned up.

Okay park to quick stopovers. No hosts on site. We stayed a few days and restrooms were never cleaned nor attended plus there was no toilet paper!!! No one to report to.

It is absolutely ridiculous that the areas of this campground have not been cleaned from a storm that happened several months ago. several campsites, playground, and large pavilion are all sectioned off with caution tape and have been allowed to grow up tall with weeds and brush making it very unsightly. Talking with the park rangers I was told it was a funding issue that has kept the work from being completed. I stay at this park multiple times a year and have for a several years. My kids and grandkids have always enjoyed the playground/park but they were not able to do that on our last 2 trips to this campground. I have reservations this week and also the week of Thanksgiving and hope this gets addressed soon. Thanks,JB

This park has been SEVERLY neglected, I can only assume from lack of funds or lack of volunteers. Someone did try to mow before we got there, but pretty obvious it was done with a brush hog, as no commercial mower could have possibly knocked that high grass growth down. Such a beautiful park too, well laid out, easy to park I would think any rig could park easily and beautiful old established trees were everywhere. Unfortunately, even the roads could not be walked upon easily because of debris. My little puppy could hardly walk through the roads or the side of the road due to grass that needed to be bailed after cut. The playground was not accessible whatsoever. Many areas were marked off with yellow tape (looked like a crime scene) and it had been that way for a very long time - this was not a new thing. Sad....very sad. If you would have had a mower available, my husband would have gladly volunteered to mow. We could have picked up limbs if someplace to put them. You should seek more volunteers....and should be ashamed to let such a beautiful park go to seed like that.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
