Edgewood Campground, Arkadelphia, AR

Edgewood Campground in Clark county is located 38 min southwest of Hot Springs, AR with an elevation of 409 feet. There are a total of 50 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of March to the end of October. 46 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 28 and 84 feet. All sites are currently reservable. All sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $40.00.

The location our site was wonderful fairly level. Easy access to the lake from the our site to launch the kayaks. Bathrooms need updating. Upon arriving at our site the grill was loaded with burnt charcoal, the fire ring was loaded with trash and concrete pad around the picnic table was covered with sunflower seed shells. I guess they dont clean up after campers leave.

There is a gate house, but no attendant, but no where does it say on the door that there is no attendant. We sat in the driveway in front of the little gate house for about 20 minutes because the sign on the door said "be back about 12". Finally another camper came by and said no one was there and just find our spot and set up. Very odd as far as I was concerned. Couldn't they have put a sign on the door that said that? Also, the pads and the bath house really need some updating, but this is a gorgeous park.

Required maintenance all over, most sights are in need of attention, the road is terrible holes, we have camped here for years but this time was not good for all the maintenance problems. We have even had to get dirt and gravel to put in the door side just to get off the steps so as not to fall off the pad or break an ankle.

Was very nice and peaceful there. Didnt have any problems with the campsite or its amenities. The bath houses are always kept clean.

Lots of trees which provide great shade. Clean restrooms and showers. Lots of poison ivy, around, beware! The roads are a little rough, the turns a bit tight for our 40 ft motorhome. The lake was great and the grounds nicely maintained.

We were there for a break, but also the Eclipse we had a difficult time finding a campsite for the eclipse our kids did not because it was Full. Only problem was the day of the eclipse about 15 sites had people the rest were empty. It was a good relaxing 2 weeks.

Roads very narrow. Bathrooms not very clean . Men's handicap stool leaked water onto floor after every flush.. Pull thru site was 6 inches out of level from side to side. Also, more than a foot out of level front to back. Site lacked gravel in getting to picnic table an tent site was covered in fallen branches and leaves.

Friendly host, good campsites, and okay bathroom/shower. Although the lake was down, there was plenty of water for a boat. I was there in late September.

We were at #28. The pad on this spot is very unsafe. This spot as well as some others need replacing. We had to be careful how we stepped. There were several times that I did trip. Please fix these places for the safety of campers.

Most of the sites are outdated and have broken up asphalt. A few have been up dates with nice wide concrete pads but Edgewood is a great campground in a great location.

Some pads could use updates, but all in all a great stay. Camp hosts were very nice and helpful. Area was peaceful and campers friendly. This is my go to spot on Lake Degray.

We come here every year and this year the area was much improved over last year. Restrooms and showers were clean and functional. Roads were improved and the campground host was friendly. He apparently was covering other camping areas on Lake DeGray also and wasn't in the office very often but it wasn't a problem for us to check in when he was available. He also was seen all over the campground trimming weeds along with other groundskeepers - an energetic multi-tasker! As always, we plan to return next year for a week-long stay sometime in June.

The overall grounds needed to be better upkept. If I didn't have an access pass and had to pay full price I would have been very disappointed.
