Norfolk Lake is beautiful, Cranfield is a very nice park; but the bathrooms (showers) need updating badly! That would be my biggest complaint and recommendation for this park. Otherwise, its a very nice park.

Beautiful park with every site having a view of the lake. Paved roads, concrete pads, covered picnic tables, bbq and fire rings at site.

We enjoyed our 20 days at Cranfield. The park was clean. The bathrooms were clean. Outside sites have great views of the lake. There are no FHU sites. The dump station is across the causeway and up the hill. Shopping and restaurants are only 3 to 5 miles away in Mountain Home. AR. We were there in October 2024 and the park was not too busy.

I was born and raised in this area and Cranfield is one of my most favorite places to camp!Its nice and close to town. Brendas caf is nearby and the park attendants are so precious, very friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival, you will be stopped by an argumentative, bitter, unpleasant individual. He tried everything he could to keep us from camping. Maybe we interrupted his feeding time at the Golden Corral. Or maybe he just regrets listening to his high school guidance counselor. Whatever it was, he made it abundantly clear from the second we arrived that he didnt like us. I guess we looked like trouble makers. Were a married couple in our late 30s. 2024 truck. Im a hospital director. My wife is a physician. The first thing I said was, Hello. Do yall have showers? He responded, Yeah.but youre not using them!I waited for the punchline nothing. I went on to explain that we were looking for a CAMPSITE with showers. He responded by explaining campsites were for paying customers. I assured him we had sufficient quantities of American currency. He kept arguing about how there are nicer showers at other sites 45 minutes away. I had to explain that while we were hiking and primitive camping all over the Ozarks for our 6 year anniversary, we got into poison ivy and its getting dark.Then he tried to blow us off again by saying he didnt know if there were any sites left. I explained that my wife had the app pulled up and it shows dozens of sites available. After several more minutes of arguing, I asked if we could just go drive through and pick out a site on the app. His wife finally talked some sense into him. 30 seconds down the road, he came chasing us down in his little golf cart. He followed us through every turn like we were some children left unattended in his China shop. I guess he thought we might steal some of his pinecones.We drove back to the front gate. He asked for my id. When he realized I worked for the federal government, his attitude completely changed. Became overly nice and he told us we could stay as many nights as wed like just by using the app. Sad. Take his advice. Drive 45 minutes to another camp.

We had a family reunion, occupying four campsites. The host was very helpful. The park was clean and quiet and most campers kept their sites clean. We could pick up a few TV stations out of Springfield and cell coverage was ok at 4LTE.

Bathrooms and showers need to be updated immediately. Most campsites are ok. We stayed in #15 and there wasnt enough side space that ran the length of the trailer. Awesome and helpful camp host.

Clean, beautiful campground. Hands down, the prettiest site at which we've ever stayed!!

We had to obtain the spots last minute. The camp hosts were amazing in assisting us. It was a clean campground, but did need some mowing. We had lots of tall grass at our site.

We very much enjoyed our week at Cranfield. We were in a site close to the water and the views were fantastic. The campground was clean and well kept. The hosts were friendly and easy to find if you needed them. We would definitely go back.

The power in the park needs to be upgraded. In peak heat, it throws breakers. Most new campers are now 50 amp instead of the 30 amp service

It's a little tough to modify your reservation, was an hour plus hold time

We love everything about Cranfield. We live locally but have camped there several times this year. We cook on the grills and swim at the lake daily.

Great campground but a terrible host. Hes ruining the camping there with his silly ways of doing things. Time for him to go do something else where he doesnt have to deal with people.
@WarrenGB51BCFA · Camped on Jun 1, 2024 at Campsite #41
Shady spot with direct view of the lake, convenient to carry our kayak to the lake. Covered picnic table away nice. Only about 3 mikes from Mountain Home with restaurants and Walmart.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
