The campground spot, the bathroom, and especially the staff were absolutely great! I do wish the shower had a little better drainage, but it was definitely tolerable. Any real shortcomings I experienced, were with other people, not the park

It would be nice if the grass was cut before the holiday weekends. need to replace some of the fire pits as they are rusted out.

We have been going to here for about 17 years. I love the clear camping and playground areas. The new sand on the beach was a welcome surprise. The restrooms are clean and if there are any issues, they are delt with in a timely manner. We are concerned with the new volunteer program for the check in area. They are having a lot of difficulty finding volunteers to work the office and it is putting a lot of strain on the one contracted employee that we have left. She is so wonderful and worried about her campers getting the experience that we have been used to. This past weekend, with the storms, we lost power and she drove around to check on people and to help find the problem and we were not without power for very long. I can remember when Gamaliel campgrounds was party central and we really did not want to be a part of that with our children. There were a lot of changes made and for the past 17 years, it has just gotten better and better and our Grandchildren love it. We are praying that this new change will not allow history to repeat itself and it become party central again.

A nice quiet campground and lake. Friendly people, Bigger campsite so not all crowded together.We have seen ducks, minnows, fish (gars, carp) deer, bear (once) Raccoons, squirrels and snakes, all the stuff you expect when camping! We all like to drive Fout road in the early morning and at dusk and count the deer. We got 101 on a weekend one time.It is also clean, like the restroom (showers are great) The dock and bait shop have most of the goodies you forget. Mountain Home (with Walmart) is not too far away for the bigger stuff.

The campsite was very clean and electric hookup worked as expected. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well stocked. The camp host was very friendly and made my stay feel welcome.

View from our site 10 was beautiful overlooking the lake and marina. Site was steep to pull into but leveled out nicely. Water was shared between sites so we had to pull our camper up so our 30ft hose would reach. Site stayed nice and shaded all day.

Park is an older park and at the end of the season when we were there, it seemed as though responsible parties for the upkeep, just kinda gave up. Restrooms were neglected, not cleaned, poorly stocked. The gate attendant was super sweet and helpful (even though her hands were tide with what they give her to work with) very compassionate, and empathetic. The site pads were or biggest issue. I booked for a 24' trailer, 2 vehicles. The site/pad was SHORT for that size. We made it work, but as I looking for alternative sites I found most of the pads were neglected and torn up. Lake level was down.Over all, I would stay there again but if there was a different park close by available I would stay clear of this one.

We have stayed at Gamaliel for years. This year several times that we have stayed the bathrooms have stunk, not clean and trash everywhere. Years past they have smelled pleasant and very clean.

The site was shaded and very close to the bathroom and playground. We have two small children and the downfall of this site it is was very unlevel. The drive was broken up and had a sharp curve off the edge. Many times my kids would place their chair down and when they sat down would fall backward because the ground was so unlevel. Otherwise the site was fine. I would just say if you have small children I would pick a different site if available. Things to do:PlaygroundSwimming AreaWalks around the campHatchery about 30 min away was worth going tooBowling and movie theater (if it rains)

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
