Clean and nicely spaced campground

This may be my favorite campground in the national parks. The sites are spread out with paved driveways. The setting and views are spectacular. You must book early because there a limited number of sites.And if you have an RV, there is no dump station or fresh water available so make sure you have enough water on board for your stay.

All of the camping spots were marked - my reservation was in place and clearly marked too. While the neighboring spots were VERY close together, there wasnt any issue with noise and the noise curfew (10pm - 8am) was followed. The facilities were, for their age and condition, well kept. I did see one guy taking a navy shower from one of the sinks in the mens bathroom - no rules posted against doing so. There is an outdoor sink for water and washing dishes (I didnt see anyone washing dishes while I was there). First night was raining and lightening - glad I wasnt in a tent. Very windy the next couple of days - dusty inside vehicles with open doors/windows. The Broken Arch Trail Viewpoint is connected to the campground and the Devils Garden Trailhead is next to the campground. I car camped (which is allowed). Overall, for the money, it was a great spot/deal.

The permanent drivethrue from daytime visitors looking for free parking lots should be stopped.

Nice campground! Out of this world views! Our site had views of the La Sal mountains. Close to a bathroom with plumbing that was clean and garbages nearby too. Walking distance to devils garden trails. Most of our site was sloped so we didnt have many options for setting up a tent. Unloading and loading was exhausting going up and down the hill to our car. No shade at all so bring a canopy! Never saw any wildlife while there.

The location was outstanding for beauty and we loved the adjacency to so many worthwhile hiking experiences. Our campsite was disappointing as it was really just pulling over on the shoulder with no access to the picnic table. We think the website should have better descriptions of each site so you can find s suitable fit for your needs. The camp hosts were really friendly and accommodating.

We visited October 2024 and had site 54 (lower part) for 2 nights and site 13 (upper part) for one night. The most beautiful campground you can ever imagine. Some trees giving little shade in the upper part on site 13. No or extreme weak cellphone service.

Devils Garden is very hard to get into. It is the most beautiful campground I have ever been to. Even though no electric or water sewer hookup, it was still stunning with the views and rock formations. My only complaint is that some of the people people who reserve some of these sights do not cancel when they do not show up. There were several open sites while we stayed there for three nights in September 2024. Those no show campers are preventing others from booking. Shame on you.

The campground was clean & quiet. The host was lovely & knowledgable. Our site had no natural shade but we did bring a canopy. Very pretty scenery throughout the whole campground. We did lack cell service (Verizon) at our site but could connect when we walked to the ampitheater. Also, there is no camp store. If you rely on ice to keep your food & bev cold, you have to leave the park to get it. We enjoyed our stay and would book here again.

We had a great time. I didnt think we were going to find a site as I was trying to book two weeks out during a busy time. The campground was already full. But the recreation.gov app alerted me when a site was available and I was able to quickly reserve it for the date I needed. I usually dislike tent camping among RVs but this campground is fantastic. And everyone was quiet after dark. I couldnt hear one generator. And restrooms were immaculately clean.

Nice campground with good sized sites. Beautiful views! There were sinks for dish washing.
@stephanie69098 · Camped on Sep 9, 2024 at Campsite #48
What an amazing campground! To be nestled in the rocks and be able to take in that dark sky was truely a cherry on top of the entire park experience.
@JanetJ662FC696 · Camped on Sep 7, 2024 at Campsite #13
Beautiful and unique campings in the rocks, easy walk to Devils Garden trails, hike from the campground to Broken/Tapestry/Sand Dune Arches. Nice spacing between sites, several are large enough for bigger rigs. Our 38 ft 5th wheel fit just fine. Roads are a little narrow and may require a bit of jockeying to back in. Great solar coverage, didnt need to run a generator at all.
@SimonWC7D72BF0 · Camped on Sep 7, 2024 at Campsite #1
Loved the Campground. It would be hard to find a more scenic setting to pitch a tent. Multiple hiking trails right from the Campground.The site has no shade though and got very hot even in September. Bring something to provide some heat relieve.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
