This was without a doubt, the cleanest, best run, friendly staff in a national forest campsite that I have ever experienced. The individual campsite was spotless, the twilight facilities were clean and not smelly. The shower was in excellent condition as were the sinks. The multiple water spigots were in working order and, conveniently located. The staff was friendly and the campground was extremely quiet.

The only electric site available to reserve was #31. When I arrived, I saw why. This should not be listed as a site at all. I have a 32 foot class C. If I parked far enough away from the raised site ( approx. 2 ft.) to allow my electric step to deploy, when I extended my slide on the street side, it would be at severe risk of being hit by vehicles coming around the curve. Realizing I could not stay there safely, I looked around and was able to use another site that has been reserved on paper but the people never showed up (this is an ongoing problem with most campgrounds). The people managing the campground were helpful in allowing me to find a suitable site.

Beautiful campground along the Cash la Poudre River to unplug and enjoy nature! There is no cell, wifi, or TV service. Beware to bring your fresh water tank full and gray and black tanks empty. There is no dump and no water faucet to fill fresh water tanks. There are water faucets to fill water containers. There are showers available, however, no flush toilets, just vault toilets.There are two hiking trails that are challenging and one much shorter within the campground that is great for families and those who want a nice walk.Eight miles west is Glenn Echo Resort that has wifi and cell service as well as a restaurant, convenience/gift shop in addition to a campground. Approximately ten miles to the east is Mishawaka, a music venue with a lovely deck overlooking the Cash la Poudre River, where you can order lunch and if lucky see rafters go by.

This site (001) is very close to the group campground. Unfortunately there were multiple barking dogs and just generally loud campers at the group site. My crew left early because the noise was irritating and not addressed by staff.

Unfortunately, the weather was extremely hot compared to other years. That is hard to control. We did enjoy much time at the river! Didn't hike as much, but there are some good trails close by. Mt. McConnell is always a challenging, but fun hike.

Our camp site was a great location close to the showers and plenty of privacy. I did notice a lot of empty sites that said available for 1 night only but weren't used for 3 of the 4 nights we were there. Wasted opportunity. I'm sure there are families that would have used them if they only knew. When you try to reserve online it tells you there is nothing available but that is not true.

Camp clean, quiet and exactly what we expected.

Here's my asessment of site 24:What I liked:- Close, but not too close, to trash, restrooms, and showers.- Double site with 2x pads for tents, but noting you pay 2x for this.- Can't hear the cars from the main highway.- Very clean like all the campsites in this camground.What I didn't prefer:- Too close to other sites.- Shady in the morning then very sunny in the afternoon and evening; wish it was the opposite. Finally, I was concerned that traffic within the campground may be an issue since this specific site is near the very front where almost all have to drive by. But that was not an issue.

This is a great campsite. Quiet, but with the nice sound of the rushing river. Very clean and accommodating. The other campers were great... and even very helpful. We got there after dark, and one of the campers helped us find our site. We'd stay here again, for sure.... and what an amazing drive, getting into the campground. I hadn't bothered to look at any satellite imagery, so the rugged mountain scenery was great. The shower stall could be a little more private, as curious kids could easily peak through the doors... but having a shower to use was very refreshing.

Bathrooms kept spotless. Need to do some landscaping work to push some rocks out of the way so you can park a vehicle on the same spot as the camper. Need a little weedeating more regular.

Very disappointed that our campsite was not raked and the fire pit was not cleaned out, I had to do this myself before I could use it. Also disappointed with the water in the shower were cold no hot water. This is the first time Donna and Bill were not in the area anyymore. Just very disappointed in the 4 years we ha been coming to this camp ground.

Wonderful campground for families! The camp hosts were very helpful. River is flowing pretty fast but still able to fish and take a dip in slower spots. We will be back!

This was one of my favorite campgrounds and site 32 was one of my favorite sites. The check-in checkout times are reasonable and the campground is so clean! Very private sites. #32 did have steps to get to the table and fire pit so keep that in mind for mobility issues. The tent pad was flat and level. Sites 37-39 were right on the river so next time I will try for one of those but you cant go wrong anywhere. We mountain biked and hiked - theres a great view if you go up to the ridge. Beautiful Colorado campground.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
