Would have been an amazing trip except for 2 things that were not in our control. First.. we had a lot of biting flies at our site!! Citronella and bug spray didnt seem to help. Second. There was a large group that took up 1 site with a trailer and 4 tents that were running their generator and yelling until after midnight.

I checked into my campsite after 5:00pm. When I check on the campfire ring, it was not only full of ashes, but there was still live/hot coals in the campfire ring. There was not a campground host in the campground nor did I see one drive by while I was there. I wish the company who is managing the campground took forest fires seriously. Perhaps they are more focused on profit.

We were able to experience this year's high water mark from the vantage of our site. The river was mesmerizing and the sound wonderful! Great site, small pathway to the creek and along its banks. Very clean restrooms. Great time of year to visit, had the whole campground to ourselves on the last day!! Great starting point to visit Rustic, Cameron Pass and Red Feather Lakes area.

Clean easy access campsite next to a beautiful river. Campsites are spread out enough to provide a little privacy.

Nice campground. We have stayed here before. The sounds of the river help drowned out all other noises and makes sleeping very pleasant.

I love this campground. Been there about four times now. So glad the Cameron Peak fire missed it! There's plenty of shade and the campsites are so close to the river. The parking is convenient and there are several nature trails and hikes nearby. The water pump wasn't working so we got water from Upper Narrows but it was a bit rusty so we drove over to Mountain Park for water. The stars are amazing at night and it is peaceful and quiet except for the natural sound of the flowing river. The hosts kept the bathrooms clean and stocked. Didn't see too much wildlife but there were a lot of bugs at night (summer nights). Will definitely go back.

We didn't like the space and had to pay again for a replacement space. That doesn't seem right.

great campground with VERY clean pit restrooms. They need to keep the grass cut though as ou could not access picnic tables and all trails were overgrown as it appeared grass had not been cut in over a month.

I drove in from the west and had a reservation for campsite #8 but was confused because there were only 7 sites in the campground. Asked some campers if there was an eighth site; they did not know. Only when getting back on the highway and driving a bit did I discover there was a Lower Narrows campground. I feel better signage would have been helpful.

Great spot - right along the Poudre River

The campsite was great, our neighbor were horrible! The father next to us kept coming into our campsite to set up his hammock because he did not like the trees in his site. Then he would hack up a lung like he was spreading the plague to every camper within a mile. I really wish there was a camp host onsite to address campers like the one we dealt with! It really makes us question coming back.

This was an outstanding place to camp in late July. The Lower Narrows CG is nice in many ways - of course it's right next to the Poudre River, but it's also tent-only, which offers a bit more to the peace without proliferation of generators and noise from the RV crowd. It's well-maintained; bathrooms are nice, parking spaces are wide, and the camp host would rake the tent pads in between occupants. The sites DO feature bear-boxes, which is convenient because the sites are a short walk from the parking lot. Sites pads are smaller, and surrounded by rocky terrain. I found staking down into the dirt to be difficult - very hard pads. There is a well at this campground to draw water, which I thought was really neat and unique to this place. Looking forward to coming back again! This is one of my favorite campgrounds up the Poudre Canyon.

Awesome campsite! There's an assigned parking spot for each tent site, and your name is posted at your site. Bathrooms were actually super clean and filled with TP. Hand pump worked great for fresh, cold water. Site was super clean and a quick walk down to the river. Only down side is there are really only 2 entrance points to the river here. The campers in the tent site closest to one treated it as their own personally reseverved spot (it's not) and weren't too keen on sharing space. Otherwise, it was an excellent place to camp!

Camp host was there mowing, he talked with, answered some questions. Very nice gentleman. Clean campsites.

Narrows walk-in CG was nicely spaced, surrounded by the Poudre river on two sides. Wildlife visits were regular in morning and evening. Over all, this was an enjoyable visit. One drawback was the outhouses. One step in triggered a gag reflex, an immediate reverse, then a sprint out.
@LaurenP874 · Camped on Sep 16, 2021 at Campsite #7
Beautiful and well kept campground. Plenty of space between campsites and very peaceful other than a little road noise here and there, but the river helps to drown that out. Beautiful sunsets! Nice to have a toilet, garbage and water pump. Sites had packed dirt so it wasn't muddy or dusty, just right.

Right next to the river. Clean. Big bear box. Luckily no bears. Saw deer n mountain goats. Wonderful place to camp n need to hike the Young Gulch. Bring a fishing pole or book

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
