Site 24 had a beautiful view of the river and a few steps to a courtesy dock. Definitely recommend. My only wish would be that they would sell firewood. But I will definitely be back!

Beautiful quiet campground. We loved the private dock for our boat right by our campsite. Clean shower houses. We willdefinitely be back. Gorgeous fall colors on the Alabama River, hope to experience the beauty of the other seasons in the future

Not too much in area, boating and fishing mainly. A Ferry can take you across Alabama River.

This was my husband and Is first stay here. We live about 2hrs away. We loved it! Very nice and clean. Quiet, very calm. Park hosts were all super friendly and nice! We already plan to return! Wish we could have stayed longer but jobs called us back home.

Great shady site with lots of space between sites. If you have a national park senior pass, be sure and enter that on your reservation request for a 50% discount. Really good deal.Be ready for the nearby church chimes every hour on the hour during the day. They are really loud.

My wife and I spent 2 days at Millers Ferry recently and we enjoyed the nice sites, level pads, and peaceful, quiet surroundings. Shower houses were clean and looked quite new. Would definitely recommend this COE campground!

Everything was great except the dryer was out of order the whole 2 weeks we stayed. this is very inconvenient when camping to have to try and find a laundry mat, of which the closest one was nearly 40 miles away.

Beautiful, large and private sites with lovely river views. Newest bathrooms were excellent, but the older facility and port-a-potties were not so great. Charles, the camp host, was friendly and informative. I am excited to return there in the future - next time for a longer stay.

The campground is beautiful and the camp hosts are very nice and welcoming. We arrived after dark and the host took us to our site-very kind. We had only reserved the site for one night, but had time to stay another night if we wanted. Unfortunately, the next morning we found that our camper and truck had been attacked by sugar ants! We were out of the campground within an hour. We have stayed at multiple campgrounds in the two years that we have been campers and have never had this happen. We were over 250 miles from home, but we stopped ASAP to wash our camper and truck. We also bought several cans of ant spray to treat the inside and outside of both before we got home. Once home, we had to take everything out of the camper and spray. Luckily, we think this got rid of the ants! Thank goodness we had not been eating in the camper and we had cleaned it before leaving the previous campground (just a habit). Hated this happened because the campground and hosts were lovely!

We loved the spacious sites with the water views. Lots of privacy on each site. Most sites are big rig friendly.

This site was beautiful! The view was amazing and the spot was shady and cool. It was a very quiet area of the park and I would definitely choose this site again. The only con to this site would be that we constantly battled sugar ants. They were terrible! We managed to keep them at bay but had several neighbors who didnt catch them in time.

I was on site 17 fourth of july weekend and between site 16 and 17 there are like 6 dead trees that need to be cut one is leaning right over site 17 and appears to have been dead for quite sometime !
@KennyL1164584 · Camped on Jul 3, 2024 at Campsite #36
First I would like to say the Host are very nice and do not bother you. However, we witnessed at least what appeared to be as many as 4 Camp Host living there and the restrooms were nasty and lacking toilet paper. I am not sure who is responsible for cutting the grass at the campsites but I suggest you bring your lawn mower or weed eater during the summer. Apparently they do not in force how many cars are at each site or how many tents for sleeping are set up at each site because there were cars parked behind campers and numerous tents in some of the spots. This place could be so much better if just simple things could be improved like grass maintenance, bath house's cleaned and supplied and enforce visitor rules. And as I see as mentioned bring ant poison. I know this is not the parks responsibility however the ants are crazy here. We fought them from day one until we left 5 days later.

One of my favorites for sure, well be returning. Our site was fantastic and the rangers were so nice and helpful. Wish we were able to stay longer.

This was our first visit to this campground. We were in the area for a family gathering at a family member's home near by. Access to the park is convenient, just off the highway, The host was helpful when I call for information and directions. We would camp here again.

Love this campground and site 30 was great with a fantastic view and deck. Be prepared for yellow flies & Lots of mosquitoes. Nice bathhouse and laundry room. Easy to reserve online. Friendly staff. Saw eagles and hummingbirds and alligators!

Such a peaceful quiet spot. Sites are nicely spaced for the most part. We did have trash that was left in our firepit that I feel should have been removed prior to our arrival. Bath house aging but clean. The dock at our site needed a bit of work. Be sure to take your bug spray too!

I stayed in a travel trailer on site #36, lovely site on the Alabama River, with plenty of space for my dog to wander. Site is concrete with gravel pad for picnic table, etc. The park is well maintained, with lots of grass areas and shade trees. Quiet, mainly fishermen and retirees. Some of the sites are gravel, but all are perfectly level. The hosts are pleasant. I will return. Do visit the nearby town of Camden; it is like stepping into Mayberry. Visit the 100 year old hardware store and Black Belt Treasures, which sells work and books by local artisans.

The grass at our campsite and the one next to us had not been cut in a week or two. I understand they cant cut the grass when the campers are there, but if they could just do some weed eating around the edges. I asked the guy if I could weedeat myself and he said no.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
