Service Campground, Silas, AL

Service Campground in Choctaw county is located 1 hr 35 min north of Mobile, AL with an elevation of 111 feet. There are a total of 32 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid March to the end of November. 29 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 45 and 101 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 30 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $26.00. Some amenities include shower.

Pull through sites along the river are easy to navigate, level, and have adequate room for tow vehicle too! Great views from these pull through sites of the barges/vessels along the river. Bathrooms were very clean and checked several times a day. There are a couple of trails to hike, short, one level flat and easy, another with some elevation but not that hard. Trails are well marked!

Every trip to Service Park is a pleasure, camping on the Tombigbe river and watching the boats and tugs with barges pass by and the camp hosts are so friendly and helpful, will camp there again next year.

This has to be one of the top parks I have been to. I have traveled full time for over four years.The park is well maintained and the park hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful campground with huge, spacious sites far away from next neighbor. I stayed in Site 5, a PT, that accommodated camper and truck with so much extra room for a boat and other toys. Barges were awesome to watch. Verizon worked well. Dish did as well. Camp host was so gracious and called to say we could arrive early. Have what you need, as not much is nearby. Peaceful and beautiful park.

Great views from all sites along the river. Good facilities with hot water for showering etc. Two playgrounds for the kids one in the campground and one in the day use area. Would highly recommend for tent camping in any of the 3 tent only sites.

I love Service Park. One of my favorites. I stayed twice in a week on a recent trip. The reason for not 5 stars is that the grass areas had not been mowed. I stepped carefully when hooking my camper to power and water. Even so, I did get a tick on me. They were working on the restrooms, so they were unavailable, but normally those are excellent. The dump is excellent, too, and thank you guys for that.

Nice place to camp, friendly camp hosts. Havent walk all the trails but the blue route that I took. It have tables and benchs, the tables have the sitting areas have rotted wood not able to sit but the benchs are good to sit in. Overall, positive experience and will come back.

The host and the camp ground was tip top. We go twice a year to have a family camp out with about 25-35 folks. I believe we had all but four of the river front lots this last time. Had one of the best visits. May and Oct are our months.

This is a great park to stay in. It is a small park and that's why it is so great. The restrooms were kept clean all day. Will go back again.
