I stayed several days at White Wolf Campground. Pros: nice wilderness and dark skies. Quiet. Good access to Tenaya Lake. Cons: the toilet facilities are showing their age. Camp store is closed for the year. Bottom line: I will certainly be back!

White Wolf is a good spot as a base camp or first night when visiting Tuolumne Meadows. We used it as a first night on a backpacking trip since the usual backpacker's camp is closed. Area seems clean and well-maintained, and the sites are spread out enough that you're not on top of your neighbors.

We had a great time here and enjoyed in particular the short hike to and swim at Lukens Lake - easily doable on a morning!

The campground itself is nice. The restrooms have running water in the sinks & toilets. The websites photos of each site are not the best to determine if one’s camping equipment will fit, e.g., most sites accommodate small to medium tents, not large. Most of the sites were small. Also, it is difficult to determine how level the sites might be. There were some sites that are not at all level for either a tent or RV and probably should be pulled from the inventory. No issues with bears or other animals going through the campgrounds. The Park Service does check on the campgrounds daily. We would camp there again.

Quiet time was supposed to be 10:00 but there were four guys playing music and partying way past 10!

We had a wonderful time. Our friends stay there a lot so they gave some good information on campsites. We have camped in Tuolomne Meadows for 70 years. White Wolf was the next best place and it worked out very well. We were able to get campsites close together. The campsites were spaced so that we didn't feel crowded.

Great location between the Yosemite Valley and Tuolumne Meadows. Much quieter than the valley campsites. Many moderate hikes to close by lakes.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
