Lucked out with a perfect campsite! Private campsites, very clean vault toilets, river access is not marked and steep to get to, but worth it!

Campsite was trashed; they must let the trash build up at the site from nasty past campers. I tried to clean up some of the garbage left behind by previous occupants, but the dumpsters were overflowing with filth. Vault toilets were buzzing with flies and trash. Trails nearby were closed. Camp host told me to leave at 12:00 when the checkout time is listed as 1 pm and is confirmed as 1 pm on my print out sheet. Other than that, its a wonderful campground

Beautiful campground and beautiful area! Sites some of them are quite large, and have a front area with a picnic table, fire pit, and the larger area behind for pitching a tent. There are several along the river in this configuration. The campground was heavily wooded, clean, Very pleasant, had clean bathrooms, and I am happy to have found this spot after the fire and the closure of Ripplebrook, another favorite spot.

This place was a dream! The campground was so quiet and relaxed even though it was rather full, there was plenty of space between sites. The facilities were well maintained and clean, as were the grounds. Detroit Lake is just a short drive away and the river was gorgeous. 10/10, will be visiting again.

Fascinating to drive through forest in various states of burn from the 2020 fires and find this lovely campground practically untouched, but with burnt hillside right across the river. Amazing (but cold!) swimming hole (access path from the camp host site 13) with deep pool for jumping from rocks and small sandy beach. Pit toilets were clean but of course a bit stinky. Lots of water spigots with clear tasty water. Site 11 is on the small side but we set up one big tent and one small with no problems. Great family campground for those who like to play in glacier water! We can recommend a kinda-nearby hike - drive east on NF46 then up NF-6350/6355 to the Hawk Mountain Lookout trailhead. 4.3 miles total (out and back) through burn and green, to splendid view of Mt Jefferson.

During our visit around 1130 pm a old Honda pulled up to the camp host site and started banging and jumping on his camper for about a good 30 mins finally camp host shows up from another campground and they start arguing about a dog the host stole from them and I also heard he didn’t pay for the dog! So what ever was going on it was disturbing to us and made our stay Unpleasant! We wanted to leave but it was late at night

Cute campground. Water access was a bit tricky but pretty close to Detroit Lake and other day Use areas. I don't recommend site #4. You can barely fit a tent there and when you do fit it, it almost is in the fire pit. Tiny site! We had site 5 though, super cute, private and bathrooms were clean! A lot of sites were huge!

Beautiful quiet campground. Not a fan of vault toilets but managed. The sites range from open to very private so a variety to choose from. Nice little hiking path but no easy access to the river. Or at least we didn't find one. The fresh water faucet was not working near our site (6) which was slightly inconvenient. We didn't have any cell phone service which we actually found refreshing. The only thing I would suggest is updating the site map online. It is very inaccurate or out dated. Overall enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

The spot was great. The only complaint is that I couldn't leave my dog off the leash. Other than that everything was awesome!

Stayed in sites 5 and 6. Nicely wooded sites with a little sun and a little shade throughout the day. Even when full, the campground tends to empty out during the day and is very quiet. Was also pretty quiet at night. The swimming hole on the creek is one of the best and surprisingly un-peopled. The camp host keeps things pretty tidy and sells firewood. The pit toilet bathrooms can get overworked and really start to reek, but are generally kept tidy. All in all a nice place to stay.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
