When we arrived our site had no picnic table, because our neighbors had taken it. There were no camp hosts onsite during our stay. Maintenance came every day and kept the bathrooms very clean, although there isn't soap provided in the bathrooms. Sites are very close to each other, not much privacy from your neighbors. With no camp host there was no enforcement of quiet hours (10pm - 6am) and so we were kept awake all night by other noisy campers, even having to go to their campsite and talk to them ourselves when they started playing music at 5am (and had been loudly partying since before midnight). Aside from getting no sleep, the beach is very nice, and we had a great time kayaking/floating on the lake. There is an outdoor shower near the beach area.

We come every year during the first week of September. The weather has always been great. We love the beach. Lots to do around the Dam.

During our recent camping trip, we noticed a few concerns that we wanted to bring to your attention. There was no camp host onsite, which led to several issues. We encountered way too many wasps, causing our kids to eat in the car a few times. People were playing catch with their dogs, unleashed, between campsites, which made it challenging to enjoy our meals without worrying about flying balls or dogs. Additionally, people started talking out loud as early as 6 am, disrupting our sleep. Large group parties occupied half of the lower tent loop and were loud both in the morning and evening. Large RVs and motorhomes were parked on the lower tent level, running their engines for AC in the middle of the night and during the day. Teenagers were hanging around outside their tents until 1:30 am, talking loudly, laughing, and swearing. Despite these issues, we love this place for its water, beach, sand, nature, and wild animals. We have been coming to this campground since 2002, traveling from far away, which takes us at least 7-8 hours of driving straight, and sometimes up to 12 hours with our two little kids. We will probably come back again.

We love this campground because it has the best swimming beach. However there was no campground host this year and there was such a rowdy and obnoxious group of campers by us. They ruined our evenings with their loud drinking parties. I wish a ranger would have patrolled the area more to keep the peace.

We have been camping here for years, but if you dont like generator noise, this is not the place for you. Way to many people come with cheap loud generators that get left running all day unattended, and the generator hours are way to long.

Great place

We enjoyed our time at spring canyon. The beach area is awesome with lots of shade trees. We participated in a service project with cleaning up plastics. The park ranger did a great job on his presentation explaining the importance of not leaving plastics around.

We have stayed at this campground multiple times over the years with our family. We love the water access for swimming and boating. This time was not a great experience. The first night was fine. The second was awful. We were tent camping but all the surrounding sites had rvs that ran their generators late into the night. Since there was no camp host there was no enforcement of the quiet hour rules plus there were numerous sites with bright lights that were also on late.

I couldnt eat outside as bees swarmed my table. Lake was nice temperature for swimming. Sign at entrance indicated cg full, but there were at least 40 available spots.

Beautiful area, wonderful beach. Camping spot very tight with others "parking lot camping". Also, be aware of sprinklers, they get the whole table areas. But for the beach and proximity to the dam, it was worth it.

We were here in the beginning of June. The weather was great, sunny and high 70's/low 80's. One day was windy with 30 mph winds but our tent survived. There was no camp host but the sights were clean and the camp ground was just about empty. Only 5 other campers in our loop. Everybody was quiet and respectful. The park and lake were a big hit with my two kids. The water was cold but not unbearable. We took my stand up paddle board on its maiden voyage on the lake. We will definitely come here again. I have t mobile and I had full service at the camp site.

We absolutely LOVE Spring Canyon! We just starting trailer camping and wanted some place close to Spokane and found this campground quite by accident. What a wonderful place for camping and having family along.

Clean restrooms and walking distance from lake and boat ramp.

We had a very pleasant stay at Spring Canyon and the only reason we are not giving our stay a 5-star rating is as follows:When we arrived at the entrance, we were greeted by a sign indicating the park was full, and we almost turned away. However, we decided to try to find a spot anyhow, and were surprised to see the park was hardly occupied. The following morning, we noticed there had been a total of four campers (out of a total of 37 total sites), including ourselves, who had occupied the park during the night. We remember an earlier visit when we in fact did turn around because again, there was a sign which indicated the park was full at the entrance. Now we are wondering if perhaps the park was not full at all and we needlessly added a not so pleasant experience to the trip. We feel this is absolutely not acceptable to have such a sign by the entrance which not only would result in diminished revenues to the park but also add a very frustrating experience to a vacation trip.

We have been coming here for years about the same time of the year. We love it that is why we come back. If I was to make any recommendation to better the camping experience it would be level the trailer spot out and put some better toilet paper in the bathrooms.

The view was nice, The campground appropriately maintained. It would be nice if the restrooms were open in mid April.We have a 28' trailer. Recreation.Gov showed sites for a 28' trailer then when I tried to reserve the site it showed a 25' limit. I did find a site where the trailer and the truck in front fit.

It's a nice campground (we were in the RV section, up the hill a ways), with a good view of the river and dam. It has a real quirk for some of the RV sites that may not be noticed by the first timer when they make their reservation: about 10-15 of the sites have metal shades over the entire site, with about 10' vertical clearance, so many motorhomes would NOT fit under the shade.

This is a beautiful campsite on Lake Roosevelt

If you arrive without a reservation it is difficult to reserve a site because Recreation.gov does not work smoothly using a phone. It may because the cell reception is low? It took us about 1/2 hour to successfully reserve our site. Other folks were unable to make a reservation using Recreation.gov so they did not stay. The campsite was basically empty. It would be useful to have a kisok payment system in place - Death Valley NP (Mesquite Flats) has a kiosk where you use a credit card to pay for your site.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
