Nestled on the scenic Whidbey Island, Fort Ebey State Park in Washington offers a unique blend of coastal beauty and military history. This 651-acre state park, once a World War II coastal defense fort, now invites visitors to explore its well-preserved bunkers and gun batteries. With over 25 miles of biking and hiking trails, the park provides panoramic views of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts. Popular activities include beachcombing, birdwatching, and paragliding at the stunning Bluff Trail. Campers can enjoy 40 standard campsites and 11 utility campsites, all nestled in a serene forest setting. Anglers will also find Lake Pondilla a perfect spot for freshwater fishing, offering a peaceful escape in this Pacific Northwest gem.

Fort Ebey Campground is part of Fort Ebey State Park in Washington (1 hr 1 min southwest of Mount Vernon, WA) with an elevation of 189 feet. There are a total of 52 campsites including 9 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of March to the end of October. 43 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 15 and 45 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 9 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. 10 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $12.00 to $30.00. Some amenities include drinking water. Activities include biking, hiking trails.
