Lakeview Campground, Sand Hollow State Park, Hurricane, UT

Lakeview Campground is part of Sand Hollow State Park in Utah (30 min east of St. George, UT) with an elevation of 3,052 feet. There are a total of 29 campsites. The campground is open all year. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 75 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. 7 sites have full hookups (electric, water and sewer). 22 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $45.00 to $50.00. Some amenities include shower, restroom, flush toilets. Activities include boating, ohv trails nearby, fishing, water skiing, floating sports, ohv allowed from campsite.

Sand Hollow State Park is a HUGE area with 4 camping areas. Two campgrounds are improved with paved roads and sites with hookups (Westside and Lakeview), one has gravel pull through sites (Sandpit) and one area is dispersed camping. Lakeview is Sand Hollow’s newest camping area which opened March of 2023. There are 30 long and level pull through paved sites, tables, ramadas, fire pits, hookups, restrooms, showers, outdoor sink area and camp host. It is nice and new, but $45 for partial hookups seems steep ($50 for full hookups). There is a dump station near the entrance. This entire park caters to the OHV crowd. Vehicles are only allowed on the paved roadways in the camping area. It was surprisingly full, but quiet midweek, although there is some highway noise. There are lake activities and a disc golf course besides the main attraction of the large OHV area. The park was very busy on the weekend with day use! (Day use fees seemed steep also, $15 weekday/$20 weekend for residents and $20/25 for nonresidents.)
