The campground is in a beautiful area! There are flush toilets! We didnt realize that the day use area would be packed with people while we were there

Very great experience here! I was very surprised in a good way by how nice the bathroom is. It flushes and is lit by a lot of natural light. Super great site, little less privacy than I would hope but over still great. Super cool access to the creek to wash off, and pretty decent fire pit too. Could stand to be more enclosed and bigger. Super fair price!

nice little campground on the river, flush toilets an added bonus!

The campsite was very much on an incline which made it difficult for chairs to be used without falling over.

Be aware, we had items stolen during our stay.

After rec.gov canceling on us once this summer due to fire, we re booked and were kicked out of the campground on day 6 (literally a week after they reopened the forest) of our annual 14 day camping trip so that the forest service could facilitate the logging of the forest that just burned without civilians present. The woman that runs the Umpqua NF out of Roseburg should be fired. Opening and closing our National forests without regard to others who have travelled far distances have incurred many travel and food expenses just so the forest service can sell our trees for pennies on a dollar and facilitate private companies getting rich is why the forest service is not only morally bankrupt but also financially dependent on the taxpayers that pay their wages so they can make such nuckleheaded decisions like these. Classic forest circus move. Oh, and, next time you all decide to facilitate logging over ecotourism, tell your 20 somethings employed by our tax dollars to get off their lazies and clean the garbage out of the fire rings and collect all the micro trash we saw littering the campground. I’d never give canton creek 1 star—because that would be sacrilege—But don’t be fooled, between your half ass maintenance of Canton(all I saw done was toilet paper brought in—and the garbage service is third party) and your obvious corrupt closure (there was no fire endangering the campground, just a massive amount of log truck traffic and 4am heavy machinery noise), your shameful tax funded welfare service (aka Forest service, aka forest circus) selves would be getting less than 1 star. Do your jobs and steward our forests and campgrounds instead of bending over backwards for Seneca and other logging Corps to go in after fires and take a bunch of trees that don’t even have a bit of char on them. Shame on you Umpqua. That lady at the top hiding in her Roseburg office should be fired and sent back to wherever she was transferred from.

Nice and small campsite but we did not know it works be in the middle of a major logging operation. Trucks began driving by at 3am. I would recommend finding out the status of the logging operations before staying at this campground.

The last night of nine nights there were some teenage campers from Roseburg that showed up with a generator for a large (I mean huge) screen video game that they played together. After we let them know that quiet time was at 10PM they graciously agreed to shut it down. The rest of the nights all the other campers were enjoying to quiet and peacefulness of the creek as we were.

Thanks to all our Supporting Members

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
