Great cabin. Awesome view. Other than the creepy guy camped down the road who used our outhouse around midnight.

My wife and I had a great time here. The old guard station was comfortable and clean. We made good use of the fridge and appreciated the stove for boiling water in the mornings for coffee. There was plenty to do in the area and the views did not disappoint. 10/10 - would stay here again.

I had a great stay at the Wenatchee Guard Station, all by myself. The weather was warm and beautiful. The nights were clear with no moon, so the stars were awesome. Next week the cabin will receive needed upgrades, so will look forward to coming back again in the future.

An amazing experience. Entire mountain was essentially all ours to explore! The only people we saw were park employees, firefighters, and the occasional wood cutter.

The cabin is awesome. The problem is the non stop traffic up to the cabin to use the vault toilet and the brain dead people who think it’s o.k. to snoop and intrude I.e, can we look in the cabin? We had one couple pull up & park right next to the front door then, the guy left on a hike and left his wife sitting in the car for an hour. We couldn’t even walk out on the front porch. The lady became impatient and layed on the car horn repeatedly trying to get her husband to return. Constant traffic made us VERY uncomfortable!!! You need to put a vault toilet at the Wenatchee Trail head and a gate across the road up to the cabin stating, “occupants only beyond this point”.

Kitchen stuff was all nicely boxed up in big Tupperware so we knew our little friend behind the warm fridge fins was not getting into the cooking utensils!

I appreciate the opportunity to give feed back. When we were making reservations I was impressed that the money collected from the fee for rent of the guard station was put back into maintenance of it. I was surprised when we got there and found that the two doors into the facility had large gaps. We were there 10 minutes when we found a mouse running around inside.. I took care of it . with the cracks in the door we figured there would be more and I really did'nt want to spend the time keeping mice out of our stuff. We ended up leaving after a half hour. I realize this is a mountain cabin but maintaining access from rodents ( not just decon) should be first prioity.

I've been coming to the GS for nearly 30 years and this was probably the dirtiest I ever found it. I usually do maintenance on the cabin but the weather kept me from doing much. Lots of morels this year. Hopefully my next visit won't be after slobs.

During our stay the wind was gusting over 50 mph at night. We were thankful to be in the cabin versus a tent or trailer!

Unbelievable location on a high ridge with a view of valleys and distant mountains! Definitely worth the drive out from the town of Pomeroy. Also, a very pleasant and well-functioning cabin.

Views much beyond what we expected. Plenty of room to set up tents around the cabin for friends and the cabin had nice propane heating. Lots of springs to hike around and find in the area. We found a some morels a short hike from the cabin too!

Due to heavy snow we were unable to even get close to the snow park. Our plans to snow shoe into the Wenatchee Guard Station were upended and we didn't use the reservations. We will try to book it again, hopefully the later part of March and be able to get closer....

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
