Super pretty spot! Lots of space for cars and tents. Right next to the creek to hang out by as well!

Great place for camping, tons of trees, some parking spots are small but good for 2 cars or more, we were at spot 4 and were able to fit 2 cars, a ten men tent plus extra space for more tents, the river is close by, walking distance for an area kids can play or to get extra water, group size was next to us lot 8, big parking lot next to the bathrooms, was pretty nice, spot 7 was next to us but notice to access that spot you parked by bathrooms same as 8, Im not sure but I think 7/8 are both together the group site and in between them there is a swing hanging out of the tree my kids had fun with that, until the group came and kick them out. Bathroom were clean, magically didnt stink. There is a hike you can do from the camp site, that goes all the way up is difficult level, we didnt finish it because we were with my 2 1/2 years old and I was pregnant, so we didnt see the end of the trail. Overall was nice clean and quiet. You have to pay $10 per night per extra car cash or check, the road to get there is gravel but easy to get there, we were in a mini van and made it fine, spot 5 had a long parking lot but spot 6 not sure where you parked was the smallest spot I saw. Sorry Im writing a big review because when I was looking into this place I didnt see many reviews and I hope this can be helpful to others, one more thing I had limited cellphone service but my son with T-Mobile he had none other members of my family had service poor but with service, T-Mobile was the only one with no service

Site number 3 had creek access and was close to the bathroom. It was fairly private too. Nice big grate over the fire for cooking on too.

Beautiful site. No ATVs in the campsite but plenty of trails around to ride. A very large portion to hang by the stream. Great shade and plenty of adventure. Only down side is the bathroom access. There's one in the middle of the 8 or 9 sites, but it is needing some work ( old school potties, tons of active black widdows in both men's and womens) the decent Jons are clear over on the Northwest side of the area so if you might need your ATV if there's a dire need.

Spot #3 is my favorite. Close to the river, easy to back in to, and separated from the group. Perfect for littles. Wish the tent square was bigger, but a wonderful experience nonetheless.

First night felt like there was a bar across the way however it did not close at 2, this special bar closed about 4 AM! Second night there was a couple arguing, one took off in the truck, sure he was drunk, yelling "Melanie". We left early as we had not had a good time at all. When leaving we all yelled "BYE MELANIE" We will not be going back to this camp ground. We did let the host know and nothing was done. We have been going there for 5 years now. We did miss our old camp host.... Wayde was amazing!

Boy Scout campground isn't designed very well. Several campsites aren't trailer friendly (turned the wrong way, no place to turn around). WARNING: Plan on walking in, inspect and make a plan to get in and then back out. You don't want to get stuck. For some sites, the table and fire pit are up a steep grade (NO steps/stairs). Online photos are misleading. When it's raining, it'll be easy to slip and fall down the hill. Good luck on getting your cooler, food and gear up to the table. The two group sites (7 & 8) are right on top of each other. There is a steep incline and no steps to access site 7 from site 8. Overall, the camp is very scenic and peaceful. Note, not every campsite has access to the (seasonal?) stream. Restrooms (vault type) are not centrally located (next to the group sites at the far end). No garbage service, plan on packing out. On our visit, no camp host. Grantsville is a short drive away, but is limited on services. Nearest Sani-dump is in Tooele. We had intermittent, one bar of signal for our Verizon phones in site 6.

We stayed in campsite 5. Plenty of room for our pop up trailer and minivan. There is a little trail in the campsite that leads to the stream. Close to the bathroom but we never had a problem with the smell. We didn’t know what to expect when camping near Grantsville, but we were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this place was. We also went on the hike that is located within the camp ground. We hiked 1 mile up. It’s steep but pretty and we came to the saddle. Would definitely stay here again.

The people before us were still there packing up so we had to wait although they were supposed to check out 3 hours before hand. Once they cleared out it was nice. We enjoyed the access to the river from our site and now that we know how big the site is we would probably move our tent to closer to the river. We had some people come in to play in the river that technically were in our spot and we're disruptive. Be prepared for random thunderstorms. We had a pretty good one plus rain later that night. I would definitely return to this area again. Great space for kids to run around and explore and the river makes some nice white noise when sleeping at night.

Boy scout camp ground Rocks! I personally love it because not many people know about it. Probably due to it is out past Grantsville, Utah-west-! However, that is the beauty no people and silence. the site was great with fire pit and tent site prefect for 10 man tent. it was a walk to the better bathrooms/hole in the ground, but that's ok just means for little ones bring a foldable wagon. Camp host awesome and helpful and full of information which I thank him greatly for because like he said there were plenty of snakes and other wild life. we love this camp ground and will be back. thanks

The man who administers to this federal land use area is very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He told us where we could get free firewood and made himself available to answer all our questions. He was very diligent in making frequent rounds to monitor the area.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
