We really liked this place, the only thing was we had bad weather most of the time, but other than that it was nice.

my campsite was given to another family after I had I had it reserved for 3 months. I guess there is a policy that if you don't "check in" with the host, or leave something at your campsite to show you are there they consider this a No Show and they give your site away. This was our first time going to bear lake so we had lunch intown and didn't leave anything so it was given away. Just so you are all aware this is under the "No show" policy. It should be on every email reminder you send instead. We had gone with 3 other families and were moved to a spot further out than them which was upsetting.

Year after year, this campground is so well "hosted". Everything is always clean and tidy. Many of the sites have decent cell service (Verizon in my case) and I have been able to work remotely while my family goes to the lake to play.

Great campground and site. Some clearing taking place at sites to improve. Perfect location for some mountain hikes and easy access to Bear Lake. Will stay again in the future.

Very pretty and quiet. Campsites were a good distance apart and bathrooms were clean.

The campground is beautiful and fairly close to Bear Lake. The camp host was friendly and helpful. We want to come back again next year. Be aware of the large ant hills all over the place. The red and black ants bite and sting.

Very pleasant! Lots of shade. We enjoyed watching a wide diversity of birds at the campground. Convenient to Bear Lake.Note: "no water hookups" means no water at all. We didn't see any spigots to fill water bottles, etc. We were prepared for this, so it didn't create an issue for us, but clarity on that point would have been welcome.

We had a great time ... these sites are so well taken care of ... and spacious ... the host was great!!! She is friendly, busy all the time, and informative. Restrooms are very well maintained.

Beautiful campground, large private sites with lots of big trees, great host, what's not to like?
@MartaH4951CE14 · Camped on Jul 9, 2023 at Campsite #15
Well-spaced, private, and shaded campsites, especially in the spruce loop. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Tons of hiking in Logan Canyon. Garden City is just a short drive away with famous raspberry shakes and several diners. The Bear Lake area is great for a beach day or water sports. This campground is a favorite in the summer as it is always 10-15 degrees cooler than the rest of the surrounding area. You might even need an extra blanket for a chilly evening in July.

The host was rude to us. Not sure if she was having a bad day. She was not welcoming at all and it seemed like she was racially profiling us since we got there. My baby was crying and the kids were making s’mores and having fun and she came and straight up to our camp site yelled at us to shut up. Without any warning. Just started yelling and scolding us. I did not appreciate that. It was unprofessional, disrespectful and demeaning.

There was chopped firewood all over the campsite. It looked like they didn’t even try to clean up after the last guests.

Disappointed that for some reason we were not allowed to connect a hose to a tap to fill up the water on our hired RV

Wonderful small campground near Bear Lake. Campsites are large and private

We really enjoy Sunrise campground because it has very spacious areas, and it is close to Bear Lake and Garden City. The camp host was great and did a great job keeping the campground up. The campground itself needs a little attention. The road going in could use being re-paved as there are some good sized pot holes. Maybe even update the toilets some would be nice as our young children don't like the smell.

Camp host was very helpful and kind. Called to let us know we had left something in the yurt after we had gone. Beautiful spot to camp. Yurt was better than I was expecting. We love to camp but having a bed off the ground was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable.

There wasn't a lot of shade and the parking areas were hard to back into. It is a beautiful area. Peaceful. We have never come across a more rude camp host than the one that is currently up there July 2022. She was very rude and abrupt. That was a damper on our trip, but didn't ruin it. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

Great location. Good camphost. Water tastes really good.

They only had one water faucet for the whole campground. Other than that it was a great spot.

We always have a great trip when we camp at Sunrise Campground. It's so close to the Garden City and the lake. We always go to the public beach at the South end of the lake between Ideal Beach and Rendezvous Beach. The water was down a LOT from last year so everyone was driving down onto the beach.... and getting stuck. We were fine but we have a 4x4 pickup. Driving onto the sand isn't a good idea in a 2 wheel drive vehicle. Some people asked us to try to pull them out but we don't carry a rope or anything.

It was great

The campground was beautiful and the host was very nice. Our trailer was too big so we didn’t end out staying there but did visit our friends there. When the limit of the site is 30’ i would say it is both the vehicle and trailer. The roads are very narrow, trees are tight up to the road, so if you stay here make sure your equipment (vehicle or vehicle+trailer) is under 30’ or whatever the site says.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
