Ketchikan is an awesome place. Must check out Taquan Air, Kawanti Adventures, and Alaska Rainforest Sanctuary while in town. Awesome coffee at the Rainforest Sanctuary gift shop!!! Only 3 other groups at the campground during my stay. Had descent coverage with my Starlink internet service. Very quiet during my stay.

Lovely camp site on the creek, very quiet on weekdays. Weekends have a few more camping here.

The forest service was very rude in the beginning of the stay. Then they proceeded to threaten my family with citations and tickets during Labor Day weekend. I wouldn’t stay here again.

It was very pretty camping along the stream. There was just a few campers. Sites are big enough for RVs. Site needs more gravel. Our site was unlevel. One night a camper was shooting a gun for awhile. Another camper started their loud, old motorcycle but didn’t go anywhere. Another night a chainsaw was being used till midnight (about 3 hours). We heard a chainsaw used to fall a tree. We could hear a tree or group of trees falling. Would be nice if campers would pick up their litter. ( It would be nice if SE Alaska would clean up their litter.) We joked about the name of the campground Last Chance.

I loved the time i spent in Last Chance at site no 6. It is my favorite camp site on the island. Hiking was fun and I got to see salmon spawning.

The whole experience was wonderful. Everything was smooth and beautiful. The two spots our families chose felt isolated even though there were lots of other groups around. Can't wait to go again.

The facilities were wonderful, the weather great, but the campground was rollicking and noisy on July 3. We could’ve stayed overnight, but none of us was sad that we left at about 10 PM that night. There were firecrackers and loud families and dogs barking and it wasn’t the experience we thought it would be. We have stayed at Last Chance before though, and know how great it can be.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
