I had to ask for refund because when I pulled up park was closed due to Lake being to low, luckily White Flint Park up the street had a slot still available. Now when the Water Level is what it is supposed to be Winkler Park is really nice just this time was not possitive due to having to ask for refund due to gate being locked and closed after paying on recreation.gov not actual Park itself. Like I said I've drove through when Water was normal level and parked looked awesome and dude secured Park well too.

I always love staying at Winkler park .. when the lake is up where it’s supposed to be the fishing is great right from camp spot 11 … if you don’t need electricity this is a nice place to stay .. always nice and peaceful

Clyde and Fay are amazing people! I feel like a part of the family when I’m there and specifically choose this camp on Belton because if it. The sites are large and are always clean. There may not be electrical at individual sites, but this keeps the place to a more rustic and true camping experience. The park is the only one that is located away from the masses and this only adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The fishing is amazing in the Spring and Fall and the gravel fishing area is easy to launch a boat off; there is no paved launch. There are many to choose from, but this one ranks #1 in my book.

Had a wonderful time, would be better if power was there to hook rv's up to. Concrete slabs around tables need work, very poor condition, park kept nice and neat, park host were very helpful in all ways.

The location of the campsites is amazing. To bad long grass and bathrooms that aren’t maintained accommodate that. This place was amazing under the last caretakers, but whoever is cleaning and maintaining the grass and bathrooms makes it a lost cause. After this stay, I wouldn’t come back.

There was trash left at our campsite when we got there and no room for our tent because the people next to us had so many tents and the people on the other side had a loud generator we never got and sleep no clear water access and I cut my foot on glass by the water I ended up leaving a day early I’ve stayed there before with family and had a good time in the cabins but this experience was very poor

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
