I love the rv sites with the beautiful live oaks and spacious sites

The campground was nice and quiet. Pretty clean as well. The only real complaint was the showers not having hot water near where we were at, in spot 19. We found showers across the park that did have hot water though. All in all, good enough that we will be back for sure.

Site was clean and level. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Restrooms are really showing their age. Showers have hot water but are controlled by motion senor. Must keep moving or water turns off quickly. Shower head doesn't move so rinsing lower body is difficult. Love the wildlife in park and on lake.

Wonderful campground. Our site was a pull-thru with full hook-ups. The town of Coleman is a small cute western town that plays music on Main Street. The campground is remote with not too much around. We had a great stay!

Great quiet peaceful park!

Wonderful site...close to the water and the views are excellent! Low-no cell service (AT&T/Pure Talk). My only complaint for this trip are the restrooms/showers. Wow. They have obviously NOT paid much attention to the restrooms/showers in the park in a little while. I've been to this park several times over the years and have never seen their restrooms/showers in this condition. Other than that, the park personnel were wonderful, the site itself was outstanding, and our experience was exactly what we were hoping for; restful, peaceful, and memorable.

It is a beautiful park with gorgeous oak trees and deer everywhere. The sights are well done with curbs and decomposed granite, fire pits, grills, and covered picnic tables. We were disappointed to learn that the restroom closest to our site was closed for the winter. That would have been helpful information to have been aware of when we picked a spot. It is an under used park with a lake. We enjoyed going into Coleman and shopping and eating in their cute downtown area. Plenty of roads to ride our bikes and explore the park.

The RV camping sites have low dark brown metal railings flanking both sides of the narrow, back-in sites. Our site (L2, T044) was for 48' rig and the opposite side of the road also has these railings. We got in at dusk, and the park attendant did not tell us of this situation. Had there not been a restroom with a shallow parking area across from the site, it would have been impossible to back-in. Since night had fallen, the situation was a nightmare, although after much in and out of the rig to check safety, we did manage to back-in. The park itself is lovely, however, we will not being staying again.

We told the gate attendant this was our first outing as new RV owners. I noticed he happened to drive by and check on us. I thought that was nice. The gravel surfaces at the site had clearly been swept or raked also. It was a nice experience.

The screened in patio with attached kitchen area (and 2 toilets) was a great amenity for our family Christmas. Super clean area with wonderful lake views. The only con was we have a 50amp camper and the spots only offer 30-amp hook ups. We have an adapter but still threw the breaker a couple times. We adjusted, but with a reunion spot that large some of the hookups should be 50 amp. There also weren't any sewer disposals. Overall, it was a great spot, and we'll return again soon.

Just a quick trip to see our kids in Coleman. Chuck was delightful and our site was perfect.

We always look for a place to camp that is quiet, away from the hectic overpopulated town in which we live and Lakeside fit the bill to a T. We are strongly considering going back early next year (2025). Park is enormous with "elbow" room between each site. You can get a shaded spot or full sun. A very nice campground to kick back and just relax and enjoy the scenery.

My favorite COE campground. From great attendants to beautiful oak trees and big site, you just cant beat it.

We selected this park because it was a halfway point between where we were and where we were going, and because we had never been here before. The paved sites are very spacious, with live oak trees, a covered picnic area, fire pit and standing bbq grill. Our particular site was waterfront to the small lake there and had water and electric (no sewer) hookups. They do have full hookups here, but we chose to be close to the lake instead, as we only stayed 3 nights. We met Chuck at the entrance station; he was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we have more time.

We had a private spot by the lake which was quiet. The gate attendant was good and very friendly. Only negative is the bathrooms are a little far from the sites on this loop.

So wonderful to see the lake was lapping at the edges of the campsite's once again! This place is so serene and quiet, especially at night, totally dark skies. Watched the almost full moon come up from the horizon and it was awesome to see. Lots and lots of tame deer that come right up to your camp site and hang out grazing and are not afraid of sharing this fabulous place with humanoids. Love the nature aspect of this! Staff is so friendly too. A great place to bicycle around with no traffic but be warned, some of the hills are pretty steep in places so be ready to for a workout in case you're not on an ebike! The cell reception isn't too good there and the bathrooms have a bit to be desired but they furnish showers and restrooms for those of us that don't have full hookup. Just wish the clean up crews did a better job of knocking down the mud dobber nests in the shower area's and spraying for bugs. The town of coleman is a delight to visit for everything you need. Sad that the Shoppin Basket is going to be bought out soon. They have the best Bigg's fried chicken ever! Spent 5 nights here and can't wait till we get the opportunity to come back in the near future! Oh and the bike ride up to the dam and back is totally worth it. Hopefully one day we will catch one of those huge fish that keeps jumping out of the water taunting us! Overall, this is just an enormous treasure of a place to visit and COE has it set up so nice!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
