Loved that the grounds around our campsite (#46) was mowed as was the area between us and #48, whom we were camping with.

Had a very good experience this year. The park was mowed and we had some nice rain. Lake caught some good runoff.

Though the lake level is low, the park is exceptionally well taken care of and the staff were super friendly and helpful!

We had a very goo,d stay at Lakeside Campground.Initially, we were in Site 042, which turned out to be very unlevel, , and we tried to use leveling blocks, but still couldn't get the RV level to our satisfaction.Upon investigating, I found site 003 which turned out to be a fantastic site, and had a lake view, as well as being partially shaded almost all day (late June) and we even had a few friendly Deer wander through our campsite. With Visible/Verizon wireless, we had a good signal, for all of our needs.Recommended Site, for the middle of the summer!

We had just got another travel trailer. As a matter of fact we checked in first vehicle then went and traded for new trailer. Went back to Lakeside. And unloaded pickup into new trailer. We always love Lakeside! I guess thats why we go there a lot.

Lots of trees around campsite and love seeing the deer.

Lake was low, sites had not been mowed in a while. Bathrooms clean. Site was shaded in the mornings but caught the full force of the afternoon sun. Level. Plenty of wildlife. Recommend the Owl Drug in Coleman, great food and cokes made from scratch.

Great campsite good view. Only thing I wish would be 50amp service throughout the park.

Only issue is such spotty cell phone service. Otherwise a nice peaceful park

It was so nice the weather was great. The lake is very low but can still fish.

Hords Creek corps of engineer park is a great park to visit. As we have a motorhome, we always chose the lakeside camping loops with full hook-ups. The sites are spacious, level, well maintained and have a covered picnic table and bbq pit. There are lots of roads to walk, fishing and boating (though the lake is very low now). Its a great place to gather with friends. Or to just go to relax and enjoy, especially the sunsets. A big thumbs up for this park

If you just wanna relax and enjoy the view of the lake and see the deer, its a wonderful place. The sides are far enough away from your neighbor so you feel like you have privacy. The park is clean and neat and very well kept. The only thing I can see is you dont have phone service. But if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place.

Very nice park.

This is a nice COE park. The site are large and it was quiet. The lake was quite low. The only complaint we had was they did not tell us when we checked in that the Buck Moth caterpillars (I believe that is correct) were very plentiful and that they sting. They are in the trees and will drop on you. They also appear to be aggressive and will come right to you and sting. It may just be the time of the year that we were there.

Very nice place to RV. Wish the lake was full, I know they need water. People who work there are very nice.

Stayed in site 29 in the Lakeside unit. Be aware that the map of the campsite locations is not accurate. Overall a very well kept park. I look forward to my next visit.

Very spacious site. Very peaceful experience. Very few campers!!! We spent a week in the campground Apr 15th to the 22nd. It was like having the whole campground to ourselves. Rode our e-bikes around and over to the otherside of the lake. That campground was still closed. Sadly the lake was extremely low, probably from the drought of the last couple years. No need to lower the water level during the winter months. I expect it'll take quite some time to get the water level back to normal. This has curtailed the boating activity to nothing!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
