Forbes Creek Campground is located in the American River Ranger District of the Tahoe National Forest (1 hr 6 min northeast of Lincoln, CA) with an elevation of 3,808 feet. There are a total of 2 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the end of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 45 feet. All sites are currently reservable. There is a fee of $132.00 per night.

Wasps and BEARS!. The destroyed the garbage at the camp next to us. Glad we used it for camping instead of a small wedding as initially planned.

We stayed in the Madrone site and it was very spacious with several level spots for both RVs and tents of which most were shady. There are several picnic tables and grills and a really big central fire pit which was great for an evening hang out. Our only issue is that there were several bags of trash in the bear boxes when we arrived which was really rude of the previous campers. If you stay here please clean up after yourselves.
