It's one of our favorite campgrounds in Minnesota. It is also a bargain if you have the federal park pass.

We return to Fall Lake every year at least once, as it is one of our favorite places. The campground is beautiful and very well maintained. The bathrooms are immaculate, and the campground hosts are friendly and helpful.

Camped here one night before BWCAW launch. Lovely site with trail down to the lake, where we were treated to a beautiful sunset.

We were in site 33. Perfect for our style. Only, minor, negative about it was the smell of the trash bins wafting our way at times. I'd go again and get the same site if I could!!

First time stay, site was a group site. Washroom/showers very clean, sites level and well spaced for privacy. Campground is well maintained. Not far from Ely MN, very good dining choices, coffee shops, restored rustic theater with new and old movies at great prices. Also the International Wolf Center and the North American Bear Center are very worth taking in. I would stay at Fall Lake CG again.

Hosts, Jerel and Sue at host campsite 1, were so friendly and accommodating. They took the time to answer all of our questions about the area. It is a beautiful campsite with many trees surrounding your campsite. The restrooms were very clean. It is very close to downtown Ely.The swimming beach area at the campground was very nice. They have canoe rental for $20.00 a day which can bring you into the Boundary Waters.The campground is kept up very well from sites, grounds and bathrooms.The owner, Tanner, of the Voyager North Canoe Outfitters in downtown Ely was very helpful and friendly. He assisted us with our fishing questions.Blueberry Festival was a fun experience.If you love mosquitos, Ely camping is a must. Seriously, bring your best repellent.

Love this campground. We really enjoy kayaking along Mile Island and near the beach. Campsites are fairly private, which we LOVE! Always enjoy the chipmunks, Franklins, red squirrels and birds that come to our campsite/feeder.

I was there only one night but wish Id had more time. You can fill your RV tank with pitable water available at the edge of the Visitor Center parking lot. My site was very private, surrounded by trees, and facing forest. There was a spacious area to the back of my site with a picnic table and fire ring. There was only one site in view from mine and it happened to be empty. It pretty much felt like O had the forest to myself which I loved!

Nice campsite for tent camping. Check-in, bathrooms, beach, neighbors, location and playground are all A+.

Nice large site. Clean bathrooms and showers. Will definitely be back.
@AlexW4299848 · Camped on Jun 16, 2024 at Campsite #14
Facilities and service was great, but there has to be something they can do about the mosquitoes. My time at the campground was spent in the tent or in the car, because I would be carried away and eaten if I spent more than a few minutes outside. They eat bug spray for breakfast. There's got to be a spray or something the campground can do.

Lot #29 - Great location, caught Smallmouth from the lake just down the trail from my campsite! Bathrooms and showers were clean and very well maintained!

Our site was spacious and private. The mosquitoes in June were horrible. On the third day of our seven day reservation we had a Tornado Warning with heavy rain. We left for home on that third day. Glad we did as a tornado saw sighted 30 miles from the campground. I tried to cancel the last 4 days but was unable to do so. We lost out on money and another party lost out on the beautiful weekend that followed the storm. We will try again in very early spring or in the Fall next year.

This is a beautiful campground. Having no water at the site was a worthwhile chore because of the wonderful site we had. Convenient to Ely, Fall Lake also has excellent cell coverage.

We stayed in site #24. Nice site. Private most of the sites are. The woods take away not all but part of the view. Bathrooms were fairly clean. Good showers. Would come again.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
