Campsite was wonderful. Clean and not too busy. Some noise from either frogs or crickets during the night but we managed to sleep well anyway. Alan who manages the site is great and was very friendly and helpful. He also went through some extra effort to make sure restrooms and camp sites were clean and nice to use. Much appreciated!

Very low key. Very dark. Kind of scary. But great camping experience. 10/10

The park is just 10 minutes from town and across from Safeway grocery store is a discount grocery that was very affordable, the campground itself is on a reservoir and is crystal clear and odor free, no bugs no mosquitoes heaven on earth! Be prepared to haul in water and you will have a great time with a great host. We took a dip in the reservoir daily to keep clean and the fish was jumping, eagles swoop down and catch fish, Coyotes howl at night and made for a lovely time, we stayed 2 weeks could have easily stayed longer with so much natural beauty in the area it is a home run, tent site 13 is the best.

Spots were clean, and had ample room between other campers. This campground was close enough for trips to Yosemite, Hetch Hetchy and Bass Lake among others. Theres a gas station and multiple camp/grocery stores less than 10 miles away. Not that many bugs/mosquitos for Memorial Day weekend so that was a plus. There were really loud cows on the hills above the campground though so ear plugs helped.

1) Our site (9) and several others have hardly any level or near level areas to pitch a tent and the table could not be leveled in any direction. So we used the top of the bear box to cook our food 2) The sign at the entrance said "FULL" yet most of the sites had signs saying "OPEN". No change in the 3 days we were there.3) This is supposedly a "BEAR" area and we appreciated having food box at the site BUT just outside the restroom ther are 2 standard metal trash cans with standard lids same as you can get at any hardware store. both of these had trash along with metal cans inside. No need for bears to be smart to open these things

Me and my Fianc stayed here for one night on our way to Santa Cruz from Bishop. The campsite and campground was surprisingly beautiful in August. we look very forward to staying here again soon.

Camp No Sleep. We stayed here in early August and since it is so close to the highway, every passing car going over the rumble strips woke us up. They also started winter storm repair operations with heavy machinery nearby at 3am. Our day in Yosemite was pretty unpleasant due to the lack of sleep. Even if the forestry operations are complete, the highway with the rumble strip in the center divider will always be there, so don't reserve here unless you're a *very* heavy sleeper. As for positives: The camp ground hosts were very kind and there was good blackberry picking for a tasty breakfast.

Great site! Comfortable, access to bathrooms and potable water. Quiet, respectful campsite neighbors.

The site was big enough for multiple tents, but the road to the site is unpaved and very dusty in the summer.

Very nice place right by Yosemite! No showers but not a big deal for just one night. Beautiful scenery around.

clean bathrooms, quiet and the spaces are close but offer privacy. I loved my stay here

Really nice site. Tons of road construction directly behind our site at 4:00am. Extremely noisy
@KellyB8439114 · Camped on Oct 8, 2022 at Campsite #7
Pay attention to what site you choose here. There are tent only and there are tent/pop up sites. The pop up sites are fine for a camping van, but the tent only sites really can only handle a passenger sized car. The water comes from a hand pump and after seeing the color we chose to not drink it, but rather fill our bottles at the next campground instead. We liked our stop here. Do your best to make sure your vehicle will fit like you think it will.

Nice campsite. Tent locations were a bit off level but not to bad. There was a lot of road and traffic noise but that is hard to control.
@AldenH6083341 · Camped on Sep 30, 2022 at Campsite #9
Pit toilets were so clean, and the pump water is cold and refreshing. You do hear highway noise, and each campsite has its own bearbox.

The campsite was nice with trees, table, fire ring, and a place for our tent and parking spot. It was secluded and quiet during the night however we were awaked by loud nearby logging equipment on a nearby road. The outhouses we're clean.

Amazing

The camping was almost "lost" in the forest, we did have to look for the entrance. There wasn't other people there, even the person in charge so we stayed in our place and the next day a ranger come to the camping (we had almost gone) and register our stay. Toilets (letrines) were clean. Parcel was big with a bear locker and a camping table. There was a fountain there too.

I loved the campground, it was clean and private but it was not safe. A man decided to station at the camp next to ours and terrorized us at night and attacked our vehicle for thinking we laughed at him when we simply were just enjoying our night. No rangers around even at the station, had to drive 5-10 minutes away from campsite to get signal.

The site I had reserved was unusable. I found another site which was available according to the sign. I paid for it using the deposit box and set up camp. When I came back in around sunset, a couple was hanging out in my campsite. They showed me that they had reserved the site online. Instead of cooking dinner and relaxing, I had to pack up my camp. I didn’t want to look for a backcountry site in the dark, so I took the 3 hour drive home. This campground’s lack of organization ruined my trip.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
