Nice little campground on the coast! We had space 32, which was a good mixture of trees and a peekaboo view of the ocean, with room to put a screened cover over the picnic table area and still sit by the fire. The water spigot was very high pressure, and we werent hooking up a hose, so it would get us wet trying to use it, but not a big deal. If there were showers available this would be a 5 star campground for me. The spots vary in size, views, and privacy, but generally a great option near Yachats!

This campground does not allow site switching. I tried to reserve #26 online for 2 nights, but could not, so I reserved another for our second night. When we arrived, we learned our second site had no view. The campground was nearly empty, so I planned to move. The site we wanted was available, and a sign wsd posted that the site was reservable. I attempted to change sites on recreation.gov, and it appeared to work, but I got no confirmation. No one was available at the camp managers office. Maintenance crew said we could not switch sites online. I checked on the website, and the site I wanted was listed as first-come, first-served, even though it was posted as reservable. Again, my confirmation stated we could not simply switch sites, even in a nearly empty campground. It was too late to cancel the site we no longer wanted. In the end, we forfeited the less appealing site, and paid again for the site we wanted using manual registration. I hope the campground puts the extra $32 to good use. I wish the process was more transparent, consistent, and reasonable. Also, given the high wind in the area, they need a more secure way to affix reservation signage. It was difficult to tell which sites had actually been claimed because of signs blown askew. All that aside, its a great location, clean, and with good quality water. Several spots have wide views of the ocean.

Great campground and awesome sites! My site has level spot for my trailer with a beautiful private overlook. Bathrooms were clean and supplied. :) This is my second time to camp in this site. We love it and will be back again :)

A great location to explore this area of the Oregon coast. A nice, quiet , clean campground with very good beach access.

We reserved space 41 along side the ocean. It was light rain for our stay but we still enjoyed our time and ocean view. We always meet the nicest camper there and this stay was no different.

Such a pleasure to stay here for my third time last week. The proximity to US 101, the ease of chech-in and the friendliness of the hosts and guests will kaje me a frequent camper!

Wonderful campground! Site 15 was tucked away, private, and spacious, but with limited views of the ocean unless you sat on your picnic table. The whole campground was peaceful and quiet except for the sounds of the ocean. Friendly and helpful camp host. A must stay!

Tillicum has always been our families #1 spot to stay in Yachats for years!!! but sadly NEVER again :( This amazing campground has gone so downhill since the new ownership (American leisure? Or something like that) No more friendly camp host to talk to, just camp police basically, with no feelings. Also, if you do plan to camp here, dont do it on a Sunday night because the dump trucks come in and pick up the trash and recycling at 5 AM and will jolt you out of your sleep they are SO loud! And the camp police basically laughed at me when I told them how disruptive it was to a relaxing camp trip. I was told that the trash/recycle pick up is every Monday and Friday morning so you might not want to stay on these nights. So sad what is happening to the special places we have enjoyed for years. Time to hopefully find some new places to make new memories! I just cancelled our trip to Tillicum for this weekend, going elsewhere. Good luck everyone on your camping journeys! :)

One of the loveliest campgrounds on the coast, in my opinion. The size, the location, the campers.
@MagaliT0E0359A · Camped on Aug 30, 2024 at Campsite #57
In summary, nice campground with a direct access to an amazing beach but overprice for the utilities offered, especially if you can have one of the site that are directly above the beach. In detail, we stay at site 57 for the 2024 labor day weekend with a 19foot trailer and a 1500 long bed crew cab Ram. It was our 2nd time at Tillicum. My father wanted to go.The pros: The site was big , well situated regarding the bathroom, very clean and with lot of shade, Easy access to the the wonderful beach with stairs. Flush toilet are clean.The cons: overprice for the amenities: a single sink with a light stream of water that you have to stay push all time. Usually for this price, campgrounds in the state offer hot shower. Also, Website says pad was 27ft; it was not. At mot it was 24ft and parking the trailer in it is very challenging due to the angle, the narrow road and the trees all around. A couple that booked the site next to us with a longer trailer could not enter their site. They have to be relocated. Luckily, another easy to access site at the entrance was available but with no hookup. Be aware!Also, most of the sites above the beach with the amazing view was announced 1st come 1st serve on the reservation site but where mostly all tagged as Reserved when we arrived.

Lovely, quiet and peaceful. Only negative was no showers and no electricity in sites on the beach.

There was a large motor home parked in front of me that was continually running and sending exhaust into my van.
@AnnieSEF7C8976 · Camped on Aug 25, 2024 at Campsite #11
Wonderful campground and location. Beach was incredible. The sand was so hard between the water line and the fully dried sand that we were able to ride our bikes on it.The only thing we weren't aware of, was that there were no shower facilities at the campground. Other than that, it was wondeful! We hope to return some day.

The camp hosts were fabulous! They helped us with any issues that came up. I especially want to thank Greg for the great way that he takes care of Tillicum campground, and all of the staff. It's a great place to stay, and the bathrooms are spotless. We look forward to our next time camping there!

Tillicum is a beautiful campground. The campsites are right overlooking the ocean. As advertised you can hear the ocean lull you to sleep from your tent. The campsites are clean and very quiet. The only complaint is that there are no showers at the campsite.
@SuzanneB159346 · Camped on Aug 19, 2024 at Campsite #53
One of my go tos for tent camping with beach access. The only complaint is the lack of showers, but when you are just going for a couple of nights it is fine. It could be improved with waste water disposal for the tent campers. There is plenty of room in the sites which for someone like me that brings an 8 x 14 tent and a canopy is necessary.

I drove around two years ago and have been trying to make it to this beachside campsite ever since and I was able to book one night and celebrate my birthday. The experience was really great with having the sounds of the ocean so close by. The campsite had no privacy in between the next site but we had nice neighbors so it was cool. Im excited to go back! Pros: bathrooms are right across our campsite (26) Solid fire pit Site was cleanPicnic table Less than 100 yards from the oceanClean campgrounds Dog friendly Quiet especially considering being close to the 101The vegetation was beautiful ConsSmall campsite I would highly recommend trying for at least 2 sites if youre camping with a couple of people. No privacy at least for this site Always full, but I understand why Disclaimer! My wife and I SCORED solid weather. 75, clear skies, low wind it was amazing we truly lucked out. Thanks for having us!
@DerrekB66FE765 · Camped on Aug 6, 2024 at Campsite #27
This site is great in its proximity to the bathrooms and the stairs to the beach. It has water and electricity but no privacy as you are right in a wide open lot next to bathroom sidewalk. The best part of this location was that an amazing first-come-first-served spot (#25) was right in front of us and allowed us to snag it when it opened up for the remainder of our stay!

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
