One of the loveliest campgrounds on the coast, in my opinion. The size, the location, the campers.

In summary, nice campground with a direct access to an amazing beach but overprice for the utilities offered, especially if you can have one of the site that are directly above the beach. In detail, we stay at site 57 for the 2024 labor day weekend with a 19foot trailer and a 1500 long bed crew cab Ram. It was our 2nd time at Tillicum. My father wanted to go.The pros: The site was big , well situated regarding the bathroom, very clean and with lot of shade, Easy access to the the wonderful beach with stairs. Flush toilet are clean.The cons: overprice for the amenities: a single sink with a light stream of water that you have to stay push all time. Usually for this price, campgrounds in the state offer hot shower. Also, Website says pad was 27ft; it was not. At mot it was 24ft and parking the trailer in it is very challenging due to the angle, the narrow road and the trees all around. A couple that booked the site next to us with a longer trailer could not enter their site. They have to be relocated. Luckily, another easy to access site at the entrance was available but with no hookup. Be aware!Also, most of the sites above the beach with the amazing view was announced 1st come 1st serve on the reservation site but where mostly all tagged as Reserved when we arrived.

Lovely, quiet and peaceful. Only negative was no showers and no electricity in sites on the beach.

Wonderful campground and location. Beach was incredible. The sand was so hard between the water line and the fully dried sand that we were able to ride our bikes on it.The only thing we weren't aware of, was that there were no shower facilities at the campground. Other than that, it was wondeful! We hope to return some day.

The camp hosts were fabulous! They helped us with any issues that came up. I especially want to thank Greg for the great way that he takes care of Tillicum campground, and all of the staff. It's a great place to stay, and the bathrooms are spotless. We look forward to our next time camping there!

Tillicum is a beautiful campground. The campsites are right overlooking the ocean. As advertised you can hear the ocean lull you to sleep from your tent. The campsites are clean and very quiet. The only complaint is that there are no showers at the campsite.
@SuzanneB159346 · Camped on Aug 19, 2024 at Campsite #53
One of my go tos for tent camping with beach access. The only complaint is the lack of showers, but when you are just going for a couple of nights it is fine. It could be improved with waste water disposal for the tent campers. There is plenty of room in the sites which for someone like me that brings an 8 x 14 tent and a canopy is necessary.

Beautiful campground, very clean and well maintained. Very kind and helpful hosts.

I drove around two years ago and have been trying to make it to this beachside campsite ever since and I was able to book one night and celebrate my birthday. The experience was really great with having the sounds of the ocean so close by. The campsite had no privacy in between the next site but we had nice neighbors so it was cool. Im excited to go back! Pros: bathrooms are right across our campsite (26) Solid fire pit Site was cleanPicnic table Less than 100 yards from the oceanClean campgrounds Dog friendly Quiet especially considering being close to the 101The vegetation was beautiful ConsSmall campsite I would highly recommend trying for at least 2 sites if youre camping with a couple of people. No privacy at least for this site Always full, but I understand why Disclaimer! My wife and I SCORED solid weather. 75, clear skies, low wind it was amazing we truly lucked out. Thanks for having us!

This site is great in its proximity to the bathrooms and the stairs to the beach. It has water and electricity but no privacy as you are right in a wide open lot next to bathroom sidewalk. The best part of this location was that an amazing first-come-first-served spot (#25) was right in front of us and allowed us to snag it when it opened up for the remainder of our stay!

We were able to get a campsite with a few weeks notice. Our site #37 had plenty of space and was tucked in the trees. We could hear car noise on the nearby highway but it wasn't too bad, and it was great to be able to walk to the beach. One thing to note, while this site was big it did not have a lot of level space. Other than that, bathrooms and camp site were clean, no complaints!

Tillicum is amazing! Very clean campground, with perfect beach access with a nice balance of seclusion, while near a small town. Super clean bathrooms and water is easily accessible. We very much enjoyed our time there and wish we couldve stayed longer.
@BarbaraB381397 · Camped on Jul 28, 2024 at Campsite #42
Tillicum is a beautiful campground. Unfortunately our site was right next to the bathrooms and quite exposed. Having said that, the bathrooms were very clean so at least it didn't smell bad.

Beautiful, quiet small campground w great beach access. Bathrooms and park clean. Hosts friendly.
@JamesP3218459 · Camped on Jul 13, 2024 at Campsite #50
Campground was nice and well maintained. The downside was no showers, and our site had no electricity - wish all sites had electricity available. It was a great experience even though we were fogged in both days we camped.

Excellent Spot! Excellent Campground! No showers and no soap in the bathrooms, so remember to plan for that.

Such a lovely campsite.
@DanS6740969 · Camped on Jun 28, 2024 at Campsite #49
Great location right by the beach. Going to sleep to the sound of the waves is amazing! One complaint: for as popular as this campground is (multiple parties in almost every site = tons of people) the restrooms are undersized and the toilet paper was gone several times that we were in there so make sure to pack your own. But in general, this is a nice place to stay while exploring the Yachats/Cape Perpetua area.
@Catherine97571 · Camped on Jun 26, 2024 at Campsite #4
You can hear the highway traffic quite well, and the sites are a bit crowded together. The fire pit and picnic table are below where you park your vehicle, so not very convenient to use.
@kenp1414092 · Camped on Jun 23, 2024 at Campsite #35
Great beach, good campsite with shade, and clean facilities.
@RosarioR52B9EC · Camped on Jun 19, 2024 at Campsite #39
Camp ground is a bit more dense than expected. There are trees but you definitely see your neighbors. Overall campground was quiet, you could hear the waves from the site. Being walking distance from the beach is a plus. We did have a problem with raccoons the last night getting into our closed food bin. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly and they did have firewood for sale.
@CalinP6544D547 · Camped on Jun 17, 2024 at Campsite #11
Great location right next to the beach. Have been here 4 times now. My only complaint is that quiet hours end at 6am. Multiple times we've been woken up by people starting their generators immediately at 6am. I think they are slowly adding in more electrical hookups to sites which will help.
@DianeL8145983 · Camped on Jun 14, 2024 at Campsite #49
This campground is a crown jewel of Recgov campgrounds. We were able to secure a roomy remote site with somewhat of an ocean/sunset view. It was site #49 and was wonderful way to end our Olympic National Park and Oregon coast trip.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
