Nice clean campsite. Keep your coolers in your car due to bears since no bear lockers. The lake was lovely but it is a trek down a rocky hillside to get there.

When I arrived at my site there was a family settled in and eating at the table. I checked with the Host and she was aware they were there. She asked if I wanted her to come with me to confront them. When I said, "yes", she then replied that the camp was pretty empty and I could pick any other spot. I was exhausted from the drive and chose another less desirable site. I walked to the original site and spoke with the campers requesting they leave in the morning. They were gone in the am, but the site was full of trash. Perhaps some was from the bottom of the lake as it was low. Bottom line it was disgusting and disappointing.

Made a reservation online for 2 nights. Showed up to the campground (2+ hr drive) and our reserved spot had another camper already set up at it. This camper was very nice and said that there was no reserved sign on the site, so they paid for it and had been there for one night already. I attempted to find the camp host and find out if another site was available or what we could do to remedy the problem. I spent multiple hours checking in at the site to try and find out if another spot was available (I didnt want the same thing to happen and set up somewhere just to have someone show up later in the evening that had actually reserved it as it appeared the reservation tags werent being updated and placed on the sites). I wasted our whole first afternoon not being able to get set up and never saw the host that day or for the whole weekend. Telephone number on the check in board was useless as it was Friday and the office was already closed for the weekend. Nice campground with flush toilets and water access a walk or short drive away, but disappointed in the management of the reservation system

This was an excellent site. It was quiet, clean, and wheelchair accessible. The odd-numbered spots are along the riverside and have a view through the trees. Access to the river is possible from most sites if one can climb down a rocky incline. However, about 1/2 mile from the campground, easy access to the river could allow those with mobility issues access to the beach. The RV park across the street is super close and has a great little store for ice, drinks, and other goodies. The camp hosts were friendly, and all other campers were considerate and respectful. The entrance is tricky to find, so if you're coming at night, the entrance is just before the RV park entrance.The bathrooms were clean and have a wheelchair-accessible unit near Campground 5.

A lot was wrong with this reservation. First, the map here in the app doesnt closely resemble the actual sites. I selected my site based on being on the water side but it was facing the loud road. Second, pictures show sandy beaches. Not the case! A person with heap replacement was in my group and couldnt get down the rocky and steep sections down to the water. Third, the host were pretty unskilled to handle situations. My site was occupied when I got there, until 6pm, and I had to let them know they needed to leave. Shouldnt be my job. No cell service, very hot in June. For paddleboarding, way too many power boats speeding around. Lake is beautiful.

bath rooms were disgusting the host does not keep up with them he doesn't clean them daily we have to take our own toilet paper our own disinfect wipes because its disgusting and people are showering in the bathrooms when clearly there's a sign that says "DO NOT SHOWER" so some times we cant use the restrooms because the floor is full of water i dont mind the water on the floor what i do mind is the toilets are gross full of urine and feces.

We come here every year, except the last few because of covid, so was great to go back this year. Unfortunately, the 100 year hurricane had it raining! The good news is we tried the Yurt this time and it saved us from the rain.

Accessible roads to all campsites which are well-marked making it easy to find at night. Water from pumps was ready-to-drink which was very convenient. The lake is wonderful for swimming, had very warm water at the beginning of August.
@ScottR9542386 · Camped on Jun 16, 2023 at Campsite #26
the online map of the camp sites is the worst I have ever seen. It turns out the site #26 is the very last site in the park, It is water front with very little view & a steep trail to get to lake. Drinking water was very close & the flush tolet was only 3 sites away. Hope this helps someone in the future.

Beautiful area, although this section of the lake has mostly dried up. The yurt was very lovely, however there were mysterious stains on the sheets on the bed (mouse droppings maybe?).

Had a great pull through site. 4 deer walked through 2 sites over frim ys. Trains go by but we enjoyed that

Nice small campground. We just stayed overnight so didn’t do any activities. Site was flat. Next to a road. July it was very hot. One bar service with Verizon. Host was friendly.

Cute spot, water was too low to enjoy, but it was a good spot to set up for sleep and just hang out!

Well maintained campground and clean bathrooms. The camp host was so nice and helpful. We could hear the train passing by at night but no horn blown and we went right back to sleep. Nice campground, Will definitely come again.

I thought it would be nearer the water. Also no TP in bathroom and no showers.
@sarahf5369051 · Camped on Jun 17, 2022 at Campsite #6
Great little spot, shaded, quiet, met great people, the train does come through about 4-5 times a day and a couple times at night but it’s really not that bad the sound is relaxing

Although the yurt is open year round, it does not have electricity and, therefore, no heat or lighting. While this isn’t a big deal when the temperature is 60+ degrees, it is a concern if you are wanting to camp in the winter. We were used to the yurts at state parks in Oregon, which are equipped with a source of heat, and took it for granted that other campgrounds advertising year round camping would be similarly equipped and ended up being quite cold despite bringing sleeping bags and two thick blankets. I suggest that Recreation.gov update the details for these listings to specify, in bold lettering, that there is no source of electricity/heat so that future campers are aware that they need to be that much more prepared for the elements. Additionally, the futon in our yurt appeared to be close to falling apart (I kept referring to it as the college dorm dumpster dive futon). It creaked loudly when one of us tried to sit on it, so we were afraid to sleep on it for fear of breaking it. On the upside, the campground was located in a convenient location with easy access to I-5 and the bathrooms were well maintained.

Clean sites, clean bathroom. Used the app when arrived to reserve. Has picnic tables, water sources, bear trashcans, fire pits, paved parking spot, soft spot for tent. It is close to the road but it's not loud there is a good amout of trees
@TonyS807 · Camped on Sep 27, 2021 at Campsite #X
This campground is an absolute mess. The whole place looks like it was abandoned a year ago. The road and camping spaces are littered with branches and pine needles. The trees lining the road haven't been trimmed and made contact with the RV. There are piles of branches and debris that need to be hauled out. There were broken beer bottles in the fire pits. Truly sad as this could be a beautiful place.

Very good

We stayed overnight on our way to another destination. We stayed in our travel trailer. The site was easily accessible and had enough length that we didn't have to unhitch. There was hardly anyone there which made our stay private. We were there in late July and were blessed with an overnight drop in temps.
@DianaR466 · Camped on Jul 19, 2021 at Campsite #3
A quiet, pretty spot right on the "lake". The lake level is way down, so hopefully this will change in the future... Lots of trees, shade and easily accessed off I-5, but it's quiet.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
