Long Meadow Group is located in the Western Divide Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest (1 hr 24 min east of Porterville, CA) with an elevation of 6,101 feet. The site is normally open from mid May to mid October. There is a fee of $158.00 per night.

Very enjoyable camping experience. We only had 17 people show up but that turned out to be a good thing. The site is very large but a lot of it wouldn't have made for great camping. It could use some more level tent spaces cut into it to make it more user friendly for larger groups than ours. The two outhouses were clean and in very good shape. There was plenty of shade keep out of the sun during the day. The camp host was very friendly and accommodating. This campsite is a little out of the way and there is not anyplace nearby to play in the water but with the Trail of 100 Giants close by and lots of trails for hiking we were vary happy.

The location was beautiful, and even though you have to drive through a pretty burned out area it was very green. The only problem is that we were never able to find the freshwater source. There was a post but it was capped off. I called three times before we went there to make sure there was freshwater available, however, we were never able to find where it was.
