Great location by the Pecos River! Not far at all from Santa Fe and very secluded. Had running water from spigots in the ground, about every other campsite. Campsites were nice and flat and perfect for tents. No cell phone service but the scenery was so nice I didn't want to be on my phone. Easy to find from the highway north from Pecos.

Very quiet campground. Located on the Pecos River. You can fish in the campground or up and down the Pecos. Lots of fishing access. The camp host really stays on top of who is in the campground so you don't have people in there that don't have reservations. Some of the sites have three sided structures with a fireplace. Really nice if the weather goes bad.

The host made us wait for our check in time until 4:45 pm because the people that had #4 spot the night before “went on a hike and were not anywhere around.” They left all their camping gear including their vehicle in #4 spot which was our spot. The camp host told us it might be possible for us to take #14 spot which they were going to move to, the day we checked in. So we had to just sit and wait until 4:45 when they came back. So our check in time was delayed. I don’t think it’s right that they got to have an additional day in our spot. The next day the camp host was rushing us to get out of our spot. He catered to them why rush us!!! We ended up having to take #14 spot due to the delay and it was a very tight squeeze. Our door was towards the road. And like I said very tight squeeze. There were approximately 3 camp sites that were extremely loud up until 1AM and the camp host did nothing. I feel the camp host was prejudice. He discouraged us for next year’s camping because he said the rates going to skyrocket.

The camp host was not there when I got to site. Camp site 7 needs some work, along with some of the other sites. The camp ground needed to be policed (the trash needed to be picked up around the grounds). Which I picked up on my end of the grounds, or on the way to water or potty. Liked the camp grounds over all. The pot-a-pottys were on 1 end of the site, but kept usable. There were only 3 camp sites in use when there, and this was not what was shown on the web site. I will be trying to use this site again in the future, just not camp 7. The guard light shown right into 7, made sleeping difficult for me.

Host was very accommodating. Love the historic CCC shelters and the fact you can have a campfire in them. Not many spots will fit a large trailer but a few will. Easy access to the river. We will definitely be back!

I enjoyed my stay at Field Tract Campground. The camp host was very attentive, and patrolled the campground regularly throughout the day. I felt very safe there. It is a beautiful little campground.

We stayed at site #5, it was a very nice space with access to the grassy common area, great trees and nice high ground. A very beautiful and peaceful place to camp. Amenities are a bit weak with the toilets shut down for repairs, it appears they are disabled on a long term basis. The port-a-potty was too nasty for the young children to use with the open mound of sewage visible inside. Other than this it was a perfect camp site.

Was a short visit, one night, but it was very enjoyable and beautiful. The camp seemed more interested in collecting the $ then maintaining campgrounds, hence the four stars. The spaces are good size though. I’d go back, and recommend this campground. 👍🏼

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
