Beautiful campground! Close to lake and town, but you feel so secluded once inside. HUGE sites, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

We stayed at #23 which was by the restrooms. The restroom doors are heavy and tend to slam so if youre sensitive to sound, this may keep you up at night/early morning. People also would run/walk through our campsite to get to the restroom. The camp sites are large and spaced a good distance apart from each other. Bathrooms were extremely clean and firewood was available for purchase at the ranger station. We had great cell phone coverage (which I tend to not want while camping) and were 5 min away from the nearest grocery store. The birds were wonderful, I recommend bringing binoculars if you like to birdwatch.

Double bathrooms were clean and warm (night temps in the 30s) , campsite size was more than enough for our party (10 people / 3 vehicles) , lake was not visible , coyote pack did cross inside our campsite at 3am , overall a great experience and would do it again .

Spent 3 days at Serrano, had a great time with my wife in our class A motorhome. The camp was very clean and very quiet so much to do for every kind of camper. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was due to our site being a bit unleveled, otherwise we will definitely be returning and will encourage our friends and family to visit this campground

Fall couldn't be a better time to visit Serrano, if you like the Cold, 27 at Night, but the campground is near empty. Loved it, Snow came early, and we had to leave. Camp sites, Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Local walking trails, lots of places to eat. Though not as big a deal to me, but the camp host were wonderful. Fall colors in bloom. Highway around the lake can be noisy, it is right next to the campground. Other campers were respectful of noise guidelines. RV loop has full hook ups. Although other loops have great campsites if you don't care about hook up.

Great campsite in Big Bear. Stayed at site 060 in the full RV hookup loop even though we were just camping in a roof tent. Bathrooms and dumpsters are a short walk away, about 2-3 minutes. Site gets sun in afternoon through sun down which was okay with us considering the highest temp it got to was 50. Would definitely come again and camp at the one of the RV/Hook up loops.

Serrano campground is well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. Its location is ideal for sightseeing, hiking and visiting the Discovery Center. The City of Big Bear is a short drive away and offered many attractions , shopping and food services.

There was no water for two of the days, flush toilets and showers were out of service for three days in the area closest to me. Porta potties were brought in but not into close proximity.

Great time at this big campsite. You can hike to Big Bear Lake. Going in early November be sure to pack warm as it dropped to 24 degrees and snowed at night

First time staying at this campground and it wont be our last. Such a perfect location.A beautifully scenic and not too long bike ride into town should you choose.The campground itself is well maintained, with the absolute cleanest bathrooms Ive ever seen.We did have a four legged visitor on our second night (we didnt look to see what it was), so do make sure to take advantage of the bear locker provided.Cell coverage was perfect with Mint Mobile.Cannot wait to plan another visit!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
