Very nice campground. Sites are good and everything, including bathrooms were very clean. Stayed for 2 days by myself and was comfortable the whole time.

The campground is in an ideal location & there is not a bad site. The park hosts were fantastic! They were friendly & kept everything neat, tidy, and clean. Follow them on YouTube. Everyone at the campground was respectful & kept noise to a minimum. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. We cannot wait to stay there again. Happy camping!

Gorgeous, quiet spot within hearing of the creek. Not many other campers so I had easy access to the water but all the campers were friendly. As stated, bathrooms were impeccable and the camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Will return for sure

Beautiful campground! We were in site 13, and it was massive. So fun to explore and plenty of space between the sites in our area. I noticed other sections where sites were closer together however. You could hear the river running nearby. Camp hosts were super nice. Facilities were clean. Would definitely go back!

We loved Collegiate Peaks. We had come over from two nights at Chalk Lake which is a much smaller campground and completely different. This campground is set in the forest, in aspen groves and it is so beautiful. We hiked to Hartenstein Lake one morning, from the Denny Creek Trailhead (Mount Yale) just literally a mile down from the campground. Vault toilets are super clean. It's big enough that you can make a good 20-minute loop walk from end to end of the campground. Road is pretty pot-holey but it was doable in my Toyota Highlander with a small trailer, if I went slowly. Campsite is nice, big and clean, campsites are huge and private. Really lovely. When we left we headed out west on CR 306 and went over Cottonwood Pass to Taylor Lake and Crested Butte. Gorgeous drive. You Coloradoans are sooooooooo lucky.

Enjoyed the site. #8 was small for a 24 ft camper but worked. Creek in background was nice, and some how not too buggy. Lots to do in the area. Nice trip.

Fantastic campsite away from the main road with a stream running alongside. Deer and moose wandered through in the morning and evening. Will definitely be back.

Location of this campground is ideal to access beautiful hikes and fly fishing opportunities in the area. The campground was immaculately maintained.

Nice large sites at this campground with good separation from your neighbors. If you're camping in a van, I found the parking spots to be a little unlevel, but relatively easily correctible with some wheel blocks. Not all of the sites have bear boxes and I wish the recreation.gov site specified which sites did. The camp hosts were great!The water from the pumps was brown. Looked gross, but people were using it for something. I'm glad we brought our own drinking water.

Very quiet and calm campground. Site B had a great sound of the river, but was short walk to actually be able to see it. Good privacy and space between sites A-C. Zero cell service just FYI.

I love this campground and almost always plan to stay at least a couple nights on any summer trip to Colorado. Staying close to the creek is a plus. Overall, the campground has nice big sites, it's relatively quiet and well maintained. I will be back soon.
@ChristopherB30 · Camped on Jul 16, 2024 at Campsite #40
This is a great campground. Most sites are large, and being in the woods is great. Some sights are close to the road, so there is a bit of road noise during the day, but at night it was very quiet. Great place!
@GaryD2260868 · Camped on Jul 15, 2024 at Campsite #11
This is a really nice place with majestic views and HUGE campsites. Very close to Cottonwood Pass and Cottonwood Lake which are must see. Had a great time here!

Great site! Loved the river, the cleanliness of the camp and the respectful neighbors. The camp hosts were so nice and were doing a great job. Organized and friendly stop. Firewood was available. Bathrooms were very clean. Lots of hummingbirds. July 2024

Except for the water quality, I love the location. Tall trees. Lots of shade. Near hiking and lakes.
@BrianaMDDC5F3C · Camped on Jul 4, 2024 at Campsite #35
Campground was very clean and campsites were spread apart more than other places so it didnt feel like you were camping on top of each other. Overall this campground was exactly what we were looking for.

The host was friendly and always checking on things. Peaceful place to camp

Great campground location in terms of access to multiple trailheads (including multiple 14ers), and easy access to Buena Vista if you need or want to get into town. Campground host was very helpful. I don't fish but a friend who does met us for a night and caught several small brookies right next to the campground.

Super clean bathrooms, quiet campground, and beautiful surroundings! Excellent experience!

Clean, spots near creek are excellent. Potable is dirty and very suspect
@AmandaB8644117 · Camped on Jun 21, 2024 at Campsite #G
Wonderful camp site! We were at site G which is right on the river and set back a little from the road. One of the most private spots from what I could tell. The camp host was nice and always willing to help and answer any questions, the bathrooms were clean, and the campsite was quite overall. Close to Buena Vista which is always fun to mosey around, close to hikes and hot springs as well. I would highly recommend this campsite!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
