This was the most beautiful camp i ever stayed at! Clean, functional, beautifully decorated! I would never hesitate to go back! I really like the generator users are away C from the other campers! Kudos to whomever runs it all!

The staff are great at this facility. The setting of the campground is very peaceful and beautiful in this desert landscape. We didnt have enough leveling blocks for the site we chose, but the staff at the office allowed us to move to a better site. Very accommodating. We had only 10 Lego blocks to work with and they were just not quite enough for some of the sites, so next time we will bring more to make sure we are level wherever we park there in the future.

Our stay at Twin Peaks was an absolutely wonderful experience. The design of the complex is beautiful and embedded in the desert with well kept sites and knowledgeable and professional staff. The nightly nature talks are amazing.

Nice campground in a beautiful stretch of desert.

This is one of the most well-managed campgrounds weve visited. There were more programs than weve seen in much less remote parks! Both daytime and evenings at the campground, and the excellent visitor center. Friendly helpful staff, and its beautiful!

Beautiful place, lovely cacti around each campsite. Would definitely visit again.

The Joshua trees were really beautiful throughout this campsite. Everything seemed well-run and bathrooms were clean. We really enjoyed our 2-night stay.

The area was very clean and well organized. The camp hosts were cordial and the staff at the visitor center was helpful and professional. The evening ranger talks were very well presented and interesting- I particularly liked the one on boarders. Get out and enjoy the adjacent trails!This is a great way to utilize our tax dollars.

One of the nicest dry-camp campgrounds I have ever experienced! Flush toilets, community potable water & solar showers made it all even nicer.

Thank you to the hard working National Park Service staff. Im sorry this current president and the unelected staff and budget slasher is taking a wrecking ball to our beloved parks and monuments. Im so disgusted theyve fired the feel collectors.

Everything was great here. We rode our gravel bikes on on the Ajo Mountain Loop and Puerto Blanco North. We saw two ranger talks in the evening that were very informative. My only complaint is the cold solar showers.

170 is a no-generator site next to the tent-only section that was quietexcept for the cooing of the many quails passing through.One thing we noticed immediately upon arrival was all the cars with their hoods popped. Turns out there is a packrat problem and lifting the hood prevents them from nesting in your engine. The campground has drinking water, bathrooms, and showers. It also has a dog-friendly trail around it and another one that goes to the Visitor Center. The one thing the campground (and the park) does not have is a store that sells ice cream and ice. For both, we drove to the gas station at the border.

The area was beautiful and the park rangers made us feel welcome.
@HopeH229C2409E · Camped on Mar 14, 2025 at Campsite #180
Stayed in the non generator area. The sites there are dirt and have large ruts from rain runoff. There is a shower, which I appreciated. However, the spray from the fixed nozzle mostly wets the wall. A nice nature trail loops around the campground, and If you have high clearance vehicle, there are a couple good trails worth taking. No T-Mobile service, but if you drive toward Ajo to the (unmanned) checkpoint area, you can get service near there without driving all the way to Ajo.

We love this Park (NM). The campground is on a plateau which overlooks the Mexico side of the border. There are hills backdropping the CG. All sites have concrete parking pads, picnic table and bbq grill. Potable water and restrooms are spread out in the CG. There are rows for those using generators which have restricted use hours. Rows for non generators and tent camping rows. Plenty of hiking trails exist to keep one busy for many days. The night skies are fantastic as there is minimal light intrusion. Check the bulletin board for nightly interpretive programs and events like a birding walk or scorpion hunt. Pump out station and potable water for RVs. Solar panels work great here as there is no power hookups.

Wonderful place. Amazing/helpful staff. Fantastic nightly presentations.
@WendyLC75237B5 · Camped on Mar 13, 2025 at Campsite #169
Great trails, great drive loop across from the park. Nice sites with enough room. Good bathrooms close by. Attended one ranger talk-very interesting. Others weathered out. Enjoyed the campground perimeter trail.Beautiful scenery. Was happy to have a whole section without generators!! Enjoyed visitor center exhibits.The wind through the doors during the ranger talk was horrible...maybe needed to move outside or into the exhibit area.

Twin Peaks Campground is neat and tidy. The pull-through sites are a bonus and make leveling a breeze. Restrooms were well spaced and very clean. Ajo Mountain Drive (21 miles) was wonderful - make sure you get the Drive Guide at the visitor center before you go.
@MichaelM541440 · Camped on Mar 12, 2025 at Campsite #128
Twin Peaks is one of the best NPS campgrounds in the country. Level concrete pads on all sites. Outstanding views and well spaced sites. The only NPS campground that offers solar showers in the restrooms for free. Always kept clean. Great way to experience the upper Sonaran Desert.
@MaryV913191002 · Camped on Mar 12, 2025 at Campsite #4
Beautiful location. Excellent campground layout. Roomy sites. Not-so-great solar showers. Early March doesn't get you hot water. I'm sure Dec-Feb has the same issue.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
