Beginning of April, the campsite was barely in use with just a few tents and RVs scattered around. Facilities (toilet & water) were up and running and in reasonable shape. Campsite itself was spotless. The trails in the vicinity were generally well maintained with only a handful of fallen trees blocking the way (mainly on Lover's Lane). Very wet (as expected) with parts of trails essentially becoming mini-streams. Nothing that can't be handled with a good pair of hiking boots. Stop by the Hot Springs resort afterwards for a quick relaxing soak.

Tent campground is compact, not recommend anything, towing or a vehicle longer than 24ft length. Space is enough for one large tent or a couple of small ones. The website listed up to 8 ppl, but I think it will be a bit crowded if everyone wants their tent own space. Of course, you're outdoor, plenty of space to roam around. I'm surprised to find out that there's no shower or hot water. It was my first time visiting the NPS, is this normal? We love the trails, Sol Duc falls, and the pool. We'll be back again soon to explore some more!

The 2 campground loops are beautiful, well spaces sites, beautiful trees. The RV spaces with power are like a parking lot. The hike to the water fall is very nice. The hot springs resort was not so great - no drinking water, bathrooms / showers were moderate at best and the soaking sessions were expensive.

BEAUTIFUL campground. Stayed on the last night of the season and almost had the campground to ourselves. Quiet and unforgettable. Electric and water hookups, no sewer. Well kept, little nightlights on each station

Unfortunately, it rained hard for the entire three days we were at Sol Duc. Of course, it would have been much better if it wasn't raining but we still had a lovely time. The stalls are very beautiful (Loop 'A') with lots of trees and bushes between sites. The hot springs are a must do. Enjoy!

We got lucky on the weather for a mid October trip. We used rv spot 8 which had a broken 30A breaker. Fortunately for us we had a dogbone that allowed us to hook our 30A trailer to the working 50A plug instead of the broken 30A. The hotsprings were nice but I think we were about a month late to see the salmon jumping up the falls.

The campground was great. Walking distance to the hot spring. We had a bit of problem with the electrical outlet. The breaker kept popping. Not sure why the issue with the electrical but that was why one star was removed

Good day, We arrived after dar, and the signs were small, partly covered by plants, and not lit. It took us forever to figure out which loop / site we were supposed to be in and did not have internet connectivity to look. In my previous experience there is a bulletin board with the names and sites for reservations after hours, there was not here. We were in the RV loop, which was a muddy mess, not paved. The worst part of all was there was not a restroom in the RV lot side. We do not have a toilet in our small camper, and multiple other people there were in small truck campers or vans without toilets. We had to shuttle the family down the road to the tent sites multiple times per day to use the restrooms, it was extremely frustrating to not even have a port-a-potty there. Lastly, the RV sites was just a big crapy parking lot with pot holes and mud and you are right on top of the neighbor. It was like a bad RV park, not a national park campground... will not be returning.

The specific campsite we had no level spot. Which meant, I slid down during the night, and would have to inch myself back to the middle of my tent. It rainned most of the time of our stay... an covered pavilion would have been helpful. We didn't find a spot for campers, to be outside, and sheltered from the rain.Bathrooms were pretty clean and maintained. Lots of trails right there! The resort had a mini mart that appeared to have most of the essentials.Oh, also would have been nice for an option we could still have a fire to cook & help stay warm, that was out of the rain.Rec.. See as much as you can! The beaches. The waterfalls. Hurricane Ridge. The Rainforest. Each is unique and really cool in their own way.

It was rather cold but the campsite was perfect

The original reservation was in June. It was cancelled by ONP because the campground was being closed in June for no explained reason. The campsite reservations had to be rescheduled for the last weekend in September, which reduced participation. Only one of the three reserved campsites was used but the parking spaces for all three were used. Our one campsite worked well for us.

It was great to be able to start the Lover Loop trail right from my campground. Also a nice distance from the hot springs- far enough away to not hear anything from that way, but close enough where you cooould walk if you wanted to.
@SueS2549054 · Camped on Sep 26, 2024 at Campsite #RV01
The RV camping is basically a parking lot. An unpaved parking lot. They really need to upgrade this campground. Thankfully the hot springs are lovely, as is the hiking. We saw very few (1-2) on Lovers Lane, but the trail to Sol Duc falls was busy.

The campground was in an absolutely beautiful area- if you're looking to camp in the rainforest- this is the place! The restroom building they had was dated, but functional but it could use some updates. No showers here. The hot springs at the resort were kind of nasty and dirty. Lots of hair and junk floating around in them, and the locker room for the hot springs was also not great with several of the lockers being broken.

The camp host was kind and available when I needed help even though it was after hours. When I called lady on the telephone, however, was not. I knew I was gonna be rolling in a little bit late, so I called beforehand requesting information namely, which campsite was mine. The person told me that I would get it when I was there even though I told her I would be there after eight. She said it was fine if I was little late and then it would be posted somewhere. There wasnt even a place to post it, so that was incorrect. It was not posted. She said they dont give them out until the day before or the day of. I was calling the day of and she still refused to give it to me. Her Words are polite, but her tone of voice was rude, rushed, condescending and uncaring. Like I had interrupted her had a good point in her book and she was pissed at me for the interruption. How dare I? So I awkwardly looked everywhere in about a mile radius for someplace that would be posted and found nothing. I finally intruded on the host after hours after asking directions to three different campers of where something could be posted. So the beginning beginning was awful. The actual campsite doesnt have bathrooms as I had already read from the review, but is a perfect distance from sol duc mineral waters and that was wonderful. Beautiful well maintained and organized I really liked Sol Duc. Beautiful area and lovely, easy hikes.

The Sol Duc Springs Campground was a lovely camping experience. The campsites are tucked away just enough to make your space feel private, but so easily accessible to your car parking spot that you can easily store items in your car and retrieve them. The bathrooms are kept incredibly clean. I cannot remember the last time shared camper facilities were kept up so well. Shout out to the woman I met who does that work! Even in a rainy or moist environment, she kept those floors clean, and mud-free. My fellow campers clearly enjoyed their time there as we heard lots of fun and laughter throughout the camp grounds; however, by 9PM they were so respectfully quiet that an early night to sleep was possible. The public areas of the lodge were nicely kept. The dining experience was really nice. Our waiter was prompt and made great recommendations, and our food was perfectly prepared. Some of the hiking trails could use a bit better signage, but we managed to find our way after some short backtracking. The park is such an amazing experience with the different areas that are so diverse: Ruby Beach, Sol Duc Falls, Ho Rain Forest, Hurricane Ridge, Salmon spawning viewing area, and more. Loved the interactions with park Rangers who were so helpful and proud of their park. Only wish I'd had more than 4 days in the park.

Stayed in the campground with electric and water hookups. It rained some during our stay, the camping area turned into mud. I would prepare for such.

Our favorite place to camp on the Olympic Peninsula: nice campground, hiking, waterfall, wildlife, hot springs soaking and even a nice restaurant!

Great campsite right in the middle of, and a short walk to, the hot springs and Sol Duc Falls trailhead. Very cool site right on the creek and plenty of old growth tree cover. Would stay here again in a second.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
