Campsite was amazing, facilities were clean and the hot springs were lovely! With kind staff as well. Would go again.

Gorgeous campsite in a lovely forest! I highly recommend taking the trail from the campsite all the way to Sol Duc Falls.

Nice campground. Clean bathroom (no showers but we used the ones that are in the hot springs resort). Tent space is small. There was no bear proof box.

Beautiful park to explore.

Beautiful, large campsite with a spacious tent pad area. Close to clean restrooms, but far enough away you're not right next door. Flush toilets and running water in sinks in restroom. Only downside is the trail runs right next to campsite, which decreases privacy slightly in daylight hours. Was able to walk to Sol Duc Falls from site.

This location should be called Sol Duc Hot Springs and Rain Forest, to let the public know that opportunities to visit the old-growth primordial rain forests exist throughout the Park. The hot springs are fabulous and not to be missed! But there are also some terrific short rain forest hikes, including the one to the water falls. One drawback of the campground at Sol Duc that I experienced is that at least some of the tent sites are structured very differently than at most of the other campgrounds I visited. I had to park along the street in a row of head-in parking spaces. From there, access to several tent sites required a short walk but down a fairly steep hillside with undergrowth bushes. It was raining and dark when I arrived and walked down to check out my assigned site. I had to pass by two other 'rows' of tent sites, and navigate around bushes and rocks on a barely distinguishable rain-wet path. I quickly decided to sleep in my car rather than setting up my tent and risk breaking my neck trying to carry gear down to my campsite. I also could not envision safely waling up the hill from my tent site in the dark and rain to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Perhaps had I arrived during daylight on a day with no rain the campsite arrangements would have worked out fine. But that was not the case. I'm not sure if one can tell from the camp map what sort of site one gets; and I was on the waiting list so I didn't have any choice. But it's something to be aware of--you cannot count on driving into your campsite and pulling out your gear in a convenient way as at most of the other campgrounds (and even some sites at Sol Duc).

A25 was disappointing. The folks next to us had 3 vehicles in their spot which made our spot very cramped and hard to get in and out of. A25 is also the path to the restroom, not next to it but literally at the end of our paved pad. Im giving this stay 2 stars because of the proximity to the hot springs and Sol Duc Falls hiking trail. The site itself was 1 star for me.

While we were extremely positive about our stay in the Olympic National Park, we are really disappointed by our stay at Sol Duc. The camping area that is reserved for the RVs is nothing else than a parking lot with electricity. This is not what we expect from a NPS campground at all.

Perfect site for a late arrival and early departure. Short walk to either restroom facility but far enough away where you cant see them from the site. No good trees for a hammock at this one.Take advantage of the hot springs at the resort. Great way to relax after a full day of hiking.

Beautiful spot. I was car camping (in my car) and the parking area was nice and level, which was great. Not a lot of privacy at this specific spot, but I didn't mind. Close to the bathrooms and trail to the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort. Would definitely come back!

This campground is in a beautiful location, and overall, we had a good stay. A couple of items merit comment, though: This campground is operated by a concessionaire; it is more expensive per night than the NPS campgrounds, yet appeared to be less well maintained during our visit. Trash and recycling bins were constantly full or overfilled, and the restrooms had broken fixtures and were not cleaned every day. There were a couple of campsites with noisy occupants who ignored the quiet time hours. Since there was no campground host during our visit, there didn't appear to be anyone to address issues such as that.Given the opportunity to stay at one of the NPS campgrounds, I would probably do that. However, if those are all full, as they often are, I would stay at Sol Duc Campground again.

Go during the week not as crowded. Bring bug spray.. overall I'd give the 5 days we stayed 5 stars .

Lovely location and campsites. Please heat the pool! Otherwise, amazing.
@KaylaB1267719 · Camped on Aug 8, 2024 at Campsite #72
Our spot was in the middle of the campground in Loop B, but it was wide and separated well from others. We had an incredible Doug Fir tree next to our tent pad. Only a few folks who were a bit loud shortly after quiet hours began, but that stopped fairly quickly. The morning was really beautiful with sunlight streaking through the trees and so many bird calls and chipmunks scurrying about.
@JenniferP95895 · Camped on Aug 8, 2024 at Campsite #36
The campsite should not be booked as a tent site. The only level place to put up a tent is just the edge of the parking lot. The tree coverage at the site is not level and has lots of roots. This site is best for car camping or vans.
@KnoxG227D1392F · Camped on Aug 7, 2024 at Campsite #28
This site is unlevelall of it. It's unlevel to park your van if you're planning on sleeping in your rig, and then the entire sitewhether you will set up a tent or just sit around in chairsis on a slope.
@AngelaC1480345 · Camped on Aug 6, 2024 at Campsite #RV01
Camped in RV portion and closest bathrooms were at the lodge, quite a bit away. Also, pretty sure electric hookup wasnt working and water for site wasnt working. It was a quiet spot and in general felt safe with the other campers right there. Definitely a little distance to sol dic waterfall trailhead, on the road.

Trash was overflowing. Barking dogs and smokers

We all absolutely LOVED this campground. Deep into the national park, felt isolated even though your near many other sites and just so peaceful and quite. Loved all the big trees and would love to stay here again. Close to the hot springs resort that we paid to go enjoy. Great campsite
@RaymondV315242 · Camped on Jul 29, 2024 at Campsite #61
Great campground. It is quite a bit away from the main road, but there is a small shop at the hot springs having some essentials. The place was big enough and the toilets were okay.

Our stay at Sol Duc campground was wonderful. It is so green and lush. Our sight was spacious and private.I highly recommend this campground. We stayed in site 64 but if we go again we will try to get site 59.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
