Birch Cove Campground in Osage county is located 51 min northwest of Tulsa, OK with an elevation of 790 feet. There are a total of 87 campsites. The campground is open all year. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 47 and 132 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 85 sites have electric and water hookups. 2 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $22.00 to $100.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, swimming, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

My issue is not with this campground. My issue is with Recreation.gov and the insane way of doing things and treating the people out here that pay tons of money to be able to enjoy the outdoors. Not allowed to make any changes to your reservation on the day of arrival even if the issue is the booking agents fault. Not allowed to get a refund on the day of arrival even when you had just paid 30 mins prior to calling for refund. The agent I spoke with was extremely rude and defensive and after me telling her the issue wasn't my fault and that I did not want the site the previous agent put in the system. I had previously stayed the last 6 weeks at 3 different campgrounds and lakes and never dealt with a booking agent so rude in my life.

I love this campground and have been there many times. I fished, kayaked, walked the loops, enjoyed the sunsets and watched the many birds feeding on dried flowers. The bathrooms are very clean. The host was excellent, offering help if I needed anything. Fall is a wonderful time in this park.

We stayed at site 62, water and electric. The road on that branch is quite steep. I didnt use the restroom/shower but I did check it out and it was extremely clean. The gate attendant was friendly and very helpful to make sure we had good directions to the site. Water is shared with the site next to us, it took three hoses to reach the hydrant. Very few water hydrants so it will take splitting the hydrant with a neighbor. Barnsdall is the nearest town with not much to offer, there is a Dollar store on the North side of town. We had decent Verizon signal, I could stream Netflix and my wife could connect to my hotspot.

Wonderful experience at Birch Cove. Campground is very clean, washrooms are very clean, and park is full of beautiful trees providing great shade and aesthetics. Justin does a super job with his campers, and makes sure everyone has a pleasant experience. The beach area is very clean and great for families. Cell service is pretty good (except for T-Mobile) and sunsets on the lake are gorgeous. I love camping here!

Justin the camp host was amazing. We forgot an extension cord and he got us one in 10 minutes. It was hot and humid but he had the biggest smile on his face.Couldn't ask for a better host amd the camp site was nice and the beach was great. Loved it there. Will be back!!!!

The park ranger Niki was super kind and helpful with my questions. The park host Justin is always personable and is always making rounds around the park to make sure campers are taken care of. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly throughout each day. We love this campground better than any we have been to.

We have a family get together here ever Memorial Day. We have only been coming the last few years but the family as a whole have been coming to Birch for over 50 years. The camp sites are always nice and groomed and the bathrooms are cleaned twice daily which is a HUGE deal when the entire campground is full for 3-4 days . Thats a LOT of people using them. Also the staff and the rangers are very friendly and helpful . They warned us about sever weather coming in so we were prepared for it . LOVE coming to Birch every year to kick off the summer :)

Tornado missed this COE. Very quiet. Fishing & Boating Do share water. Odd sites seem to have most water hookups. Chinese in Barnsdall. Dollar General north of town. Near Wooloroc & Pawhuska. Drummond House in Hominy.

Nice campground overall but the grass was way overgrown. Mowing the tall weeds/grass would have made our experience and views so much better.

Only problem was no hot water in our bathhouse..however, went to one in another part of the park and got a hot shower! Very nice park attendant and all in all a very pleasant camping trip! Love Birch Cove!

We love the campground - beautiful with lots of trees. We had a large fire pit for our site out in the open, as well as a wood/charcoal grill and the end of the camper pad next to a nice picnic table. We cooked some fine meals while there and, of course, s'mores! We were there for perfect weather and the trees were beginning to change for fall. We were near a restroom that also had showers and they were well maintained and clean. We were also close to the playground which our little ones enjoyed. I don't think you need to worry about bringing firewood -there is plenty of dead wood laying where there are trees. you might want to bring a saw. The camp host was very welcoming upon our arrival and pointed the way to our site while offering to answer any questions that might come up. We had a great 3-night stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Birch Cove. Site 28 was close to the water so we could put our kayak in pretty easily. The restrooms were new, but only capable of one user at a time, so often the restroom was in use and locked. Not a big problem unless the campground was full.
