Nice spot our third time camping here an we always love it. I do recommend something to combat the flies and ants tho. Other than that we had so much fun.

The gate keeper was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of shade at the site and just a short walk to the water. Everything was clean and cared for. We will visit again soon.

There was a huge log burning when we got there and it took us forever to get it put out so it was so smoky for quite a while. The camp site had a shade tree but was on slopes so our tents didn't sit good. We also had to leave in the middle of one of our nights cause it poured down raining and our tents flooded due to the slopes. A bit disappointed

The electrical panel had a reversed nuetral. Another campsite had one leg of the 30 Amps missing. This is the second time camping at Canton Lake and both times the electrical pedestals have had issues. For a Corp of engineer site, im not impressed. Also there was no dump station so we had to go to the other campgrounds.

Awesome place to have a family time. Beach, restrooms were clean all the time. Friendly staff. Thank you!

Camp ground excellent but the showers and toilets need attention. The showers barely had any pressure and need to be treated with pesticides to prevent ants, spiders from coming in.

Beautiful

Bring plenty of water hose and a Y, they need more water hydrants. People need to pick up their trash

Due to extreme thunderstorm and tornado watch, we were unable to utilize the campsite.

The location was perfect for my family of 4 plus our 2 dogs. We were able to spread out comfortably, please being close by the bathroom/showers was nice for the kids. Our only complaint we had was all the ants and mosquitos. With all the rain it’s understandable with the mosquitos, however we’ve stayed at other campgrounds in Oklahoma that didn’t have as bad as an ant problem. With that being said, we definitely enjoyed our stay and will return soon.

Nice clean campground. We were there on the last day/night of the season, so we were the only ones there. There’s not water at each site, only 1 spigot for approx 3 sites in some areas. Bathrooms could use a little updating. Very nice host. We will stay there again the next time we are in the area.

Sandy Cove is a great area close to the "sandy" beach. This is a great family area with kids or for couples that enjoy the water and chilling! Some camp sites are 100ft plus to water access for your camper/rv so bring your splitter and lots of hose. We will our fresh water tank upon arrival so we dont have to string out hose across the road or for long distances for the site we prefer.

We have found thru our experiences that we will all ways have a great experience staying at a Corp of Engineer camp. They are always very clean and camp host are always so friendly. Next year we are planning a trip to just corp campgrounds.

We have stayed here many times so we knew what to expect and which spot we wanted. I was hoping the flooding in the past would have started to mitigate the stickers but they are there with a vengeance. But nice stay and everyone left us alone, which is why we go camping

Nice and quiet campground
@CherylK892 · Camped on Sep 17, 2021 at Campsite #2
Absolutely loved this campground it’s very beautiful. I only have one complaint and that is the camp host in the first Camp host site had two small dogs that barked constantly and that was very disrupting. Camp host Denise and Bob were absolutely fantastic so helpful and hospitable. I would visit this campground again.
@BryanZ130 · Camped on Sep 9, 2021 at Campsite #5
We were there in the middle of the week and was very quiet and peaceful. Bathrooms were well taken care of mostly but the campground itself was the trashiest corps campground we have ever been to. Bottles, cans, trash of all kinds and a fire pit full of cigarette butts greeting us at our site. Whoever is doing the cleanup could do a whole lot better.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
