Love Davidson River Campground! Many sites offer plenty of privacy and all have been well maintained and clean. Walking the trail by the river is so relaxing and is a favorite daily routine. Brevard is a must-visit town with plenty of unique shops, and Brevard Diner never disappoints. The campground is in a great location close to town, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many of the popular waterfalls. Looking forward to staying at Davidson River Campground again!

Thank you to the Davidson River Campground for cleaning up and opening the campground after the Hurricane damage. We had a great time as always and it was nice meeting camp host Heather who gave us some fishing tips. Looking forward to our next stay -

Great woodsy park. Bathrooms do have showers, although could use updating.

The new concessionaire (Nadventure) is so much more friendly and service oriented than the previous concessionaire (Find). The campground is clean and well managed.

I just want to thank everyone for working so hard to get everything back open even though I know things are a long ways from being at least somewhat normal! We definitely enjoyed our time! Thanks again, Shannon

3rd time in the last 2 years going to Davidson River Campground. No complaints and a lot of friendly people. If you are there for some trout, then you come to the right place. In the 3 days I stayed, I caught about 20+ from the swimming hole to the crossing bridge. Ran into so many people just enjoying the outdoors and getting away from corporate America.

The campground as a whole is very nice, with clean sites, quite a few bathroom and shower facilities, access to trails, and mostly well-spaced sites.Site 153 in particular, though, is not one of them; it backs up against site 161 with no tree buffer, so if, like me, you end up with loud neighbors who show up late, set up their tent ten feet from yours, and stay up all night talking, your night is going to be unpleasant. It's also directly across from the trash dumpster, so your likelihood of being disturbed by people or animals is higher too. It would work better as a group site combined with 161 if you've got two groups who want to be together. I had one bar of cell service from inside the tent; not enough for complicated tasks, but enough for basic online searches, maps, whatsapp messaging, etc., which is as much as I needed.

It is so hard to get reservations at davidson river campground because all the sites get reserved but every time I go there half the campers don't show up.

We loved staying here. The campsites were large and relatively flat. We stayed at two different sites and didn't need our leveling blocks. There is a swimming area which the SO and doggo loved jumping in and playing. The dog field was an excellent place where we could run our pup without getting in anyone's way. There is a TON of hiking in the area, and mountain biking, just remember that it can be very steep so be prepared. Food and water are required no matter how far you think you are going.

This is a beautiful quiet camp ground on the edge of the Pisgah forest. It has a great mix of sites spaciosly placed in the forest, both with electric or tent camping. I will return. Cell phone coverage is very little in the campground and Pisgah National Forest. The only disappointment is that the shower was not clean.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
