There were large groups that were very loud!

Usually a quaint nice campground and fun spring. However, there is absolutely no enforcement of the two tent, 5 person per site max. We stayed and there seem to be a reunion with drinking until 3am in a main site. Chainsaws could be heard well after hours. Later they brought a trailer and ATV through and were riding it around. We reported it the next day, and found there is no one to contact after hours. There is no host. We wont return now. We left a day early even.

Nice campground. Sites are pretty private and it was very quiet.

Overall its not a bad campground but I have no plans to ever return. The good: clean bathrooms with running, hot water; wild Florida flora; starry night skies.The spring run is one of my favorites. Its difficult and technical and challenging and I just love it.The bad: the worst part of my experience was other campers being loud after quiet hours and the camp host doing nothing about it. While most people kept it down after 10 (as stated in the rules) one group of partiers was up til 3am, blasting music and hootin and hollerin. I know the park cant control individuals behavior but, again, the camp host was on site and did nothing about it. I talked to other campers the next day who all lamented at their lack of sleep because of this one group. It was so bad we only stayed one night. We left the next day after kayaking the run.Also, theres a general lack of information available for visitors. There are no maps available, for the campground or the run. I had to take a picture of an employees personal map of the grounds which ended up being inaccurate because it listed a shower facility that doesnt actually exist. I asked the staff at the spring run for a map and they didnt have one I could look at. I asked how do I know Im at the end of the run for pickup? She said its right after the bridge. Which was true, but its not labeled in any kind of way so if I hadnt asked, I wouldve just kept on paddling forever. Their website has limited information and the confirmation email I got after booking had incorrect information. It said to call if Id arrive after hours starting in November, so I did, and was told that policy wasnt in effect for a few weeks. None of these things are a big deal on their own but when theyre all together it becomes a pattern.

Kayaking the Juniper Springs run was magnificent. Seven miles of pristine, crystal clear, 72 water winding through a silent and unspoiled landscape. We were there when the water level was high and there was a nice current to push us along, with even a tiny rapid near the end of the trip. There are trees down on, in, and under the water which keeps your head in the paddling. They made the paddle even more interesting. It was fabulous. The campsite was reasonably secluded with a nice firepit and table. The bathrooms were clean and the showers had great pressure and plenty of hot water. Top notch. I highly recommend.

Juniper Springs is one of our favorite campgrounds. The staff is wonderful, the spring is beautiful and the campsites are great. The Florida trail goes right by the park making endless hiking a possibility. When we stay here we do a day trip to Silver Springs which is only a 25 minute drive. At Silver Springs we can paddle board the whole day while enjoying monkeys and manatees.

The lady there didn't help us and I needed a refund due to no hookups there also attempting to use the website for a refund was also bad and I never got one.

We had an amazing time. Campground and facility was clean and very well kept. Lifeguard at the Spring was attentive and it was clear that safety was her #1 priority. 10 out of 10 will definitely recommend.

I checked in on Thursday, and the bathroom was clean. When I checked out on Monday, the staff hadn't cleaned the bathroom. It was terrible dirty and smelling intensely. Four days passed without any cleaning. The campsite itself was great in the spring, and the tent spots were excellent, but the problem is that they don't seem to care about maintaining the bathroom for the campers.

Getting in was a nightmare especially with a reservation. Pavilion rental a little expensive with no designated grill. But everyone was nice and cordial. We had a good time.

The place is really beautiful and peaceful. The only problem are the bathroom specially the showers, they are really dirty. Needs improvement in that area
@TessB789446B86 · Camped on May 17, 2024 at Campsite #75
The campsite was nice but some rude campers kept their truck running until late into the night. It would be nice if that was monitored. The bathrooms started very clean but they weren't cleaned over the weekend. We also noticed the water in the showers kept running and we tried turning them off and called the after-hours number to report it. Not sure what happened and if it was fixed. It was nice having a dish-cleaning station. The springs were beautiful. So sad that people leave so much trash. It is disappointing that all of the boardwalks are closed. It seems like they have been for a long time- when will they be fixed?! Also, it would be great if there was a place where dogs could run and be off-leash and/or swim!

It's truly a beautiful campground but it's unfortunate they aren't doing anything about the trails and wood paths that have deteriorated and have become unusable.

Sites were nicely spaced apart with plenty of room on each site. Bathrooms and showers were clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Will go again really enjoyed the springs

I wish I had a better review. My stay during the week was pleasant, the bathrooms were tidy. The staff is friendly. The park, however, is in dire need of maintenance. None of the boardwalks were accessible, all of them were closed due to disrepair and rot. All of the structures that were built by the CCC, except for the mill, were surrounded by chain link with Keep Out signs posted. It's sad and disappointing to see this beautiful park and its history be left to rot.

After reading other reviews, we were nervous coming to the site. But the staff here was absolutely amazing! Everyone was friendly and professional. We brought our own kayaks and the launch fee was waived since we were camping but they treated us the same as if we were renting. Beautiful views, clean and quiet campsite. We will absolutely be back!
@AlexTF83970AD8 · Camped on Apr 12, 2024 at Campsite #38
The campsites are partially/fully shaded with foliage creating privacy from other campers. Each site has a paved driveway and well defined level tent pad. Sites are large enough for 2 vehicles and a small group of people. Fire rings, a table, and a bear box large enough for 3+ large coolers are on each site. Water is shared between 3-4 sites and there is no electric. Highway noise was audible, but not loud enough to be disruptive. The bathhouse is clean and adequate. There were a lot of ticks, so bug repellent is recommended.The spring is beautiful with a year-round 72 degree temperature offering year round swimming and snorkeling, but does not have a shallow area where you can touch the bottom. There are open areas with picnic tables and hiking paths. The pavilion was closed when we were there. A connector trail connects to the Florida Trail for extended hiking. You can rent kayaks (and soon canoes we were told) and experience one of the best canoe trails in the state of Florida, however it is very technical and is NOT recommended for first time paddlers. The 7.3 mile trail features lot of twists, turns, obstacles and logs just under the surface that can tip you over and even a short rapid section. Even experienced paddlers will get pushed into the brush by the current. It is mostly shaded with lots of foliage and plenty of wildlife to see including alligators. Allow about 4 hours to complete it. Juniper Springs is a popular destination (but not over crowded) so if you are camping, reserve your site early. The park has a relaxing natural atmosphere with fantastic springs, great camp sites, a premier canoe trail and friendly staff!

Great experience. Our campsite was close to the bathroom and showers and they were opened 24/7. Very clean and organized. The only thing we didn't like much is that the campsite is too small for two tents and 2 cars. Keep un mind that if you want to go for the kayak option, it is a 4 -5 hours of paddling!

We love this park. It has incredible foliage. The springs are beautiful. Campsites are close to bathroom.

We loved our campsite .. being retired we enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere.. until night time with all the young folks camping and the screaming and laughter well after midnight .. being we were in a tent was a little annoying.. I understand everyone wants to have fun .. the camping overall was great.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
