Excellent campsite in the woods. Dark sky with amazing start. Clean sites and friendly hosts. Options for swimming and hiking. Could hear the owls at night!Only one small thing: noice of the hunting dogs starting early in the morning. Even a dog and vehicle on the campgrounds. That doesn't match our expectations of a natural environment and camping in a state forest.

Very quaint campground. Was roomie enough for our 40 class A. Water hook up only. Bath houses could be a little cleaner but were adequate. Will visit here again

Great quiet campground. Disappointed with the loop trail being underwater.

We have stayed at this park the last three years, while taking our winter trip. As stated in the reservation notes this park does not provide electric, but our generator works well for us. This is a quite park, with clean restrooms. The lake is nice to hike around, with other trails to hike. This past January we were able to call an owl in, just above our campsite. It stay for quite awhile. About a half hour drive you can arrive in Eastpoint, FL, where you can take the bridge to St George Island, and spend the day on the beach. We are very happy with this park.

Beautiful campground with lots of room between sites. Nice trail system for wonderful hikes. Jay and Bruno (the campground hosts) were very nice and professional at the same time. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was for some maintenance issues. The non potable water at the dump sight had a serious leak at the top of the hose stand, a light was out in the bathroom and the shower heads need replacing badly. We will definitely go back there again.

Beautiful location near the Apalachicola River. Lots of potential for hiking and wildlife viewing. The facilities and trails needed some maintenance work. Lots of potential with a little TLC.

Very quiet and peaceful; slightly more rustic than the description indicated. The restrooms were clean and the showers had hot water. Great star gazing at night. Although the website mentions swimming as a possible activity, a sign at the campground cautions you that, if you do swim, you should be alert for snakes and alligators.

Nice camp sites but the facilities were absolutely disgusting!! Left early because of that. Looks like the place has never been cleaned. Mold and stuff (not sure what was on the floors! ) all over.

Quiet campground, Very well maintained. The on-site water was nice. The 4-mile trail could use a little work, some down trees & overgrowth. Otherwise both trails were well marked and easy to hike.

Wright Lake is a lovely campground, very well maintained and the camp host came and introduced himself to us. The grounds are beautiful and groomed by "David" the campground host. The only downside was there was no cell service there. (Verizon) But, perhaps that made it even more peaceful. I'd highly recommend Wright Lake Campground.

Camping at Wright Lake CG was a good experience. Facilities were well maintained with decent spacing between sites. Hiking through the Longleaf Pine forest and on the pond trail was very peaceful and enjoyable.

The campground was excellent. Very clean, very quiet, and great host. The only drawback is that it was soooo remote that there was no cellphone signal and it was quite a long drive to go to down for dinner or errands. I understand that may not be drawback for some, but it was a bit for us. The last day of our trip we did find a nice little restaurant in Sumatra (only 10 min away) and they have wifi there. So we were able to catch up on emails, texts and phone call when we went for dinner there. But, overall an excellent experience. The hiking was a lot more fun that I thought it would be. The trail often follows the edge of the swampy river, so that was nice to see.

Enjoyed our stay. Jay done a great job keeping the campground including the restroom immaculate. Was very easy to get to the campground. Cell service was not happening,...but that was a plus in my opinion. The nearest town to get wood was in Eastpoint about 25 miles away. We would definitely stay there again! The Tenwaldes

The area was beautiful. Internet is needed. Verizon tower should be looked into.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
