Well.... it's a campground. You can pitch a tent there. The lake was dry, neighbors were using the campground roads to joyride, host was nowhere to be found, camp is next to a shooting range which kept the dog hiding under the picnic table for two days, and the first night someone drove through the camp in the middle of the night and stole everyone's stuff. No nearby hiking trails. Not planning to go back. Still, always nice to get out in the wilderness for a skosh, and the forest is pretty so it still gets two stars.

This was for sure an unforgettable get away. Campsite was nice, clean and very spacious. We stayed at campsite #20 and we couldve set at least 3 tents if needed. My recommendation is that if you are think of getting in the lake to go early in summer as it was almost empty. We had to drive about 15 minutes to Pine Hollow resort for the day for a good swim. Also weather got crazy that weekend and had to leave as emergency weather warnings kept coming in due to strong winds and hail. Wind was so crazy that our canopy and tent ended up getting blown away. Things got worse when branches kept falling as the trees cracking sounds got more intense. Bad weather and all, I will still recommend this campground.

We had a wonderful experience. The camp hosts were new to us this year and were amazing. Camp sites were clean and well maintained.

Its a very spacious campsite that could easily fit three large tents while still having enough room to wonder. There's a path that leads up to the bathroom from the site. The path also leads towards the lake. There's a small town fifteen minutes down the road which has a general store that have everything f you need and then some.

Campsites were neat and maintained. Vault toilets were clean, however the seat in the women's toilet was broken.

Been camping here for over 15 years. Park hosts were 5 stars. Campsites, fishing, reservoir, and hiking all 5 stars. Weather was 3.5 stars, but it was still spring. Love this campground and will be back next year.

You may want to bring an umbrella and rain coat in the earlier months

Site is right on the water; very spacious with shade as well. Best site in the campground for fishing. One of my favorite campsites ever; wonderful view too (can see Mt Hood.)

Very clean bathrooms. The yellow jacket population is being monitored and reduced where necessary.

Apparently it's 1 car allowed, Per campsite. Any other car is an additional $8 per night. I booked 2 sites, with 2 cars each not knowing that we were only paying for 1 car each.. When we got there we had 5 cars total. I expected to pay for 1 additional car, We paid $80 for 4 nights just for the cars. Camp hosts blamed it on the websites being misinformed. Be forewarned.

Nice to be on the water. Lots of dogs barking in the campsites and running loose in the swimming areas.

My experience was very bad this year… dogs were allowed to run through my site unleashed and pee in my camp and on my trailer and poop in other sites and owner did not pick it up. Leash laws were nit enforced! Even more concerning was the fact that I rented a water site, #15 and multiple people from interior sites started walking through my campsite dragging boats and equipment and left me no room at my own site to launch my kayak! It was very frustrating… they had no consideration…. I paid extra for that site and booked early in the year to get it!!! I left and didn't stay the last two nights that i had paid for… it was not a good experience and After going every year to the same site for 5 years, I wont go back!

A lot of geese at this location. Campsites that are not lakeside are better if you don’t want to smell goose dung all day.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
