Overall a nice park. Unfortunately, there were too many all night lights in this campground for me. Every site had a bright, dusk to dawn light (no option to turn it off), the bathhouse had 2 street lights by it and there were a couple of other street lights in the campground. Might want to make sure you have blackout curtains for your windows. Chances of me staying at this campground again are pretty low, because of the lights.

Sunsets are amazing, Spaces are large. My issue is the mower ran over my water hose crushed it and even left the water spewing while I was away.

Too few employees. No one to mow grass, kill ant mounds, and service rest rooms regularly.

Quiet, well maintained and beautiful surroundings. This was our first time at this COE campground but we will return. Site 21 was excellent.

Grass needed cutting. Fire pit was full of trash. Ant beds.

I didn't realize how far the campground was from I-55 when I made mt reservation. Once there, I had difficulty reading the site numbers. They were either worn away or covered with leaves. I had to stop at the camp host's RV to ask where my site was.

Chickasaw Hill is always a great experience for our family. Clean site, pleasant people and informative host.

We had to leave a day earlier than we paid for because the campers next to us had a big party that lasted till 1:40 in the morning. We made the decision to leave early when we heard them talking about more people coming for another night of partying. I saw a camp host sign by the boat ramp with a camper parked in that space. I know they heard them because the people across the bottom were talking about it when we were walking our dog. Quiet hours say 10 till 6. I would like a refund of my night I paid for or a credit please.

I want to first, commend the outstanding physical condition of the facilities. all of the sites have level concrete pads with full hook ups. For the entire week that I was there, I was the only camper with the exception of the camp host, whom I never saw. this campground is extremely remote, which left me feeling a little unsafe. Every afternoon there was some type of meeting at the restroom building located next to the boat launch. Sometimes as many as two or three vehicles with men and women going in and out of the bathroom and hanging around in the parking lot . Some nights this went on until after 10:00 PM. Random vehicles would drive through the campground loop at all hours of the night. It should be noted that there is no gate which is closed at night for this campground. I found out after I arrived that the lake had been drained to a very low level. The waterline was approximately 200 yards from its normal point. This left a huge mud flat. Which attracts four wheelers, some even after dark. I could have missed it, but these factors should be included in the campground details. I know that I was camping during a slow time of the season, but never would have expected total abandonment. Love to return and see the lake full and have other campers present.

Very quiet, saw some more eagles. Stayed at site I had used before and still think it's the best, for me, of all. Will make this my destination, hopefully, several more times in 2024.

Chickasaw Hill is a lovely hidden place. The positives are: it has good shade, paved parking pads that are well spaced out, and a clean shower house. The views of the lake are excellent, and while the playground is smaller than the playground across the lake; it has a swim area that is adjacent to the playground and within walking distance from the campsites. The negatives are: It is a good 20-30 minute trip to any grocery store or supplies, the road to the campground is very rural and rough, and as such, if you needed medical attention, it would be a long time coming as this is located in a very rural county.

Had a bunch of 4 wheelers riding around behind our camper at midnight.

The water at the beach appeared to be very contaminated with some sort of bacteria. It looked very different than what we expected. The park itself was very nice but the water was a deal breaker. It did not seem safe

Site was roomy, campground was quiet. Restrooms and showers were always stocked and clean. If I had to find something to be a negative, it would be the entrances to the restrooms...the bugs love the flourescent lights and were flocking to those entries when the sun went down

Chickasaw is a very relaxing campground has a nice boat ramp, pavilion, playground, bathrooms, bath houses and all pads are concrete with full hookups and tent location. The only thing I'm concerned about is the speed of the vehicles that goes through day and night. I thank they need to put one or two speed pumps in the park.

We enjoyed our 3- night stay in site #6. We had a good view of the lake, and the site was large and sufficient for any length RV.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
