Camping near Boston, MA, offers a mix of oceanfront views, wooded retreats, and historic charm. Wompatuck State Park, just south of the city, provides tent and RV camping with miles of hiking and biking trails. For a coastal experience, head to Cape Cod National Seashore, where campgrounds offer stunning Atlantic Ocean views and access to sandy beaches. Barnes Field Campground is located in the Androscoggin Ranger District, White Mountain National Forest (1 hr 38 min west of Lewiston, ME) with an elevation of 1,286 feet. There are a total of 11 campsites including 4 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 7 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $45.00 per night. Activities include hiking trails.
