I don't think I have ever encountered a camp host who truly cares about a campground the way Michael does. Amazing host. He greeted us, told us about the campground, helped us park our trailer with an extra set of eyes. Just a really nice guy who keeps his campground wonderful.

The camp hosts are great, same ones that were there last fall. The bathrooms in the main campsite area have flush toilets, which are much better to camp near (as we did on this trip), vs the pit toilets in the ground campsite area that we're terribly smelly during our trip last fall.

We were greeted by our friendly, helpful camp host, Michael. He gave us important information and helped us get oriented. It set the tone for a fantastic stay.

Nice, clean. Bathrooms have flushing toilets. Site 21 had a view of the ocean. Nice helpful camp host. Its just down the road from Jade Cove, which was a nice spot for sunset. Family friendly, lots of solo campers as well as families with small children, multiple generations. The campground is fairly flat and easy to walk around and good for new bike riders to get some practice.

Great campground, clean, fun and close to adventure. The camp host was awesome and very helpful. Definitely a do over.

Excellent host, very clean toilets! There were a lot of ticks unfortunately for our dogs.

Our camp host, Michael, was fantastic! However, the group site was much smaller than expected. From satellite images, it seems the vegetation has been allowed to grow too close to the campsite, which made it feel quite cramped. Additionally, there was poison oak everywhere, so be cautious.The site does have a small terraced hill with a couple of additional tent spots, but its still better suited for smaller groupsmaybe 4-5 tents max, with a shared kitchen and fire pit area. For larger groups, it would be quite challenging to fit everyone comfortably. I highly recommend that the USFS consider clearing some of the overgrowth at this site to improve the space.Overall, we had a great timeit's hard not to at Plaskett! Just be prepared for limited space at this particular group site.

Michael was a camp host extraordinaire! He gave us ideas for a full day of hiking and exploring the area and it was the most amazing day. Included redwood forest hike and ropes down to a beautiful cove by the ocean. He was accommodating with our camp location due to pending rain. We loved this site and so appreciate Michael.

The campground was quiet and clean. Beautiful location.

Campground was well maintained and very peaceful. Bathrooms were very clean. Unfortunately, all the sinks were broken and there was no potable water due to a recent storm. Sand Dollar Beach and bluff walking path was just across the street and super accessible. We will definitely stay here again.

A beautiful spot with great tent spots. The camp host was efficient and helpful.

This is a cozy campground very close to the coast. Walkable distance to Sand Dollar beach. Several trails to explore nearby. Lots of shade, clean bathrooms with flushing toilets but no sinks. We really enjoyed our time here.

Lovely campground close to coastline access, plenty of shade, dog friendly and clean bathrooms. Only downside is the abundance of poison oak along the perimeter of the campground and along trails

The location of this site is absolutely perfect. Secluded, no cell phone service, and less than a 5 minute easy walk down to the beach. Even with the site being completely full, it didnt feel like it. Will definitely stay again.

Very quite and peaceful. My fav coastal campground on Hwy 1, beautiful trees and shade with gorgeous coastal access just across the Hwy

Stayed in campsite number 30 when we arrived. It was not clean, but we were able to empty out the ashes from the fire pit. There was no official camp host like during our previous trips. There were a lot of people for the holiday weekend one of the biggest issues we had after camping here Several times was that there was no one constantly cleaning the restrooms and at one point only one restroom was open for the south side of the campsites overall would return, but I'm hoping that they will get someone that will clean, especially during busy weekend.

We stayed for three nights in a site that I have reserved previously. In mid December, mid week, off season. The campground was empty. We had great weather during our trip.
@AbelardoTB3885 · Camped on Dec 8, 2024 at Campsite #15
Stay was great nice clean camp ground just that the bathrooms had a sink but they were wrapped with a trash bag so you cant use them so no washing your hands also the bathrooms have no light in them so make sure you have a small lamp or flashlight when going to use the restroom at night but over all it was a nice stay!!!

Plaskett did not disappoint! It was beautiful, clean and quiet. The restrooms were always tidy and stocked, although the sinks were disabled due to non potable water. The hosts were terrific!! Friendly, nice and attentive . Such a blessing to have this slice of heaven!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
