Hello,We have rented the Pavillion at Cedar Creek a few times in the past, always very nice. Wednesday the 10th I reserved the Pavillion for Sunday the 14th. Ranger Daniel called and informed me there was going to be a controlled burn at Cedar Creek, it should be okay by Sunday. My husband and I went to see it Friday the 12th, it was still smoldering and quite smokey. We decided to go ahead with our plans of using it on Sunday. We had 4 small grandchildren in our party and found the area was so full of ash and soot we left and went to a public park. We appreciated Daniel's consideration by informing us of the controlled burn, we were disappointed we could not use the Pavillion. Thank youDiane Campbell

Awsome time with my family, we wanted to perfect blend between tent camping and glamping and this location was it! We had our own personal restrooms, parking lot, entrance, running water, electricity, and shelter! Loved it and so did my family. Definitely coming back!

We were recently in group site 3 for a family reunion and plan to come back next year. The pavilion was spacious and had working lights and electrical outlet. There is a fresh water pump by the pavilion with potable water. There are plenty of parking spaces for campers (although some were not level) and tons of great spots to pitch tents. There were ample picnic tables and the fire pit area was really nice. There were 2 pit toilets that were very clean and nice. There is a private entrance and you can keep the gate closed for privacy. There was so much shade and many paths nearby for hiking or bike riding. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our Employee Appreciation B-B-Q. Everyone loved our forest & some are even interested in coming back to camp. Thank you for all your help in making our event memorable! Sincerely, Diana at Shuttle Ruidoso.

Group 1 pavilion has a leaky roof. It rained one entire day we were at Group camp 1 and could not stay in the pavilion as it was flooded and tables were wet.

Our family really enjoys this location due to the fact there are bathroom facility's there. Also the pavilion there will hold a large group at least 30 people comfortably. Offers a large chacole grill as well. It is also at the start of a lot of bike trails as well. We can ride for hours and still have not explored them all. This is our third time to rent this space and we will be renting anytime we go to ruidoso. Especially if you have a place there to stay great for day trip.

The campground itself was great, very Clean and spacious. Willie met us on arrival and was very helpful and answered all questions. The only downfall was the excessively loud campers in the adjacent sites. They were both up well past 2am being extremely loud. It would be great if that was able to be monitored more. We booked the site to enjoy peace and quiet and that was not what we got. I would recommend this site for all the positive attributes, just hope if you do you have considerate neighbors

We love staying at camp 1 EXCEPT there are trails that actually lead right up to the pavilion - we have been having a meal and a bike will come within one foot of us, same experience has happened with hikers. Would like to see the forest service somehow erase these footpaths, which have not been created by the forest service but because of the heavy foot and bike traffic look as if they are actual hiking trails.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
